the thought did twist in his stomach slightly. he had become a human for a reason, and if that meant he was going to be given a soulmate like everyone else then he didnât want them to be taken from him. as a demon he never thought he needed love, then he met sabrina and the bond they shared was the closest thing he had to any other emotion beside darkness and sinful doing but now⊠it was an enhance feeling he had in him. not something he would seek out but deep down he felt this growing need for more. he always found the humans to be a bit more greedy even if it came to emotions. they never made it easy and just had one they had what felt like hundreds. âyes, and i wish i knew the answer too. if that was the case iâd hate whoever did this to us. i was very happy just being a familiar to my sabrina. i didnât think i needed more. and now⊠i just hope if we have to be separated again from our soulmates then i never find mine⊠not unless they are able to be with me.â he had changed since meeting the blonde young witch for the better he supposed but he had become so much more than a foreboding figure stretching between dimensions and falling under the dark lord. âso, this means you will promise to come see me? not forget me in this brilliant place you come from?â that would hurt him. âyouâve become a rather useful friend⊠at least when i feel like i need some fingers running through my hair.â he joked with her smirking even if she couldnât yet see it. something like a set of nerves twisted in him as she laughed. he chuckled along with her but scolded himself for being so oblivious. âright⊠i know what you mean by that now.â sadly heâd never experienced it. âiâd imagine it would be pretty impressive to have someone take these clothes of only using teeth; i bet i could do it if i tried hard enough.â he was sure he could but the rest, that was something he pushed from his thoughts around bethany. âmaybe⊠i will give it back, one day. if i see him again. im sure heâd replaced it by now. he was too drunk to really notice much. he probably just figured he dropped it.â salem had very little care about the drunk he stole from, it was all too easy so in salemâs mind the man didnât care enough to be able to keep it. the LUSH experience was exactly that. a man so happy to have gone out and just do the things humans did, it was rather thrilling. and following the girl out of the store he carried the bags and stopped just when she did. âso, what does it take to do this?â figuring it was simple by how confident she always sounded when she spoke of being able to take him home or to visit him if they were separated.

But that was something sheâd prefer to ease for him, to not make him go through. Even if he found someone else and they were his soulmate, sheâd still help him to see his soulmate, would keep him from being parted from them. â Well, we will find out. But I really donât see them breaking apart soulmates, not everything that weâve been going through, the fact that they are necessary to keep the balance or to gain balance. Surely breaking soulmates apart would throw the balance out once more. â Or she hoped that was the case. Though when she thought back to the seerâs words, she remembered that soulmates had the option not to remain together once their mark was gone, that they could return to the life they had before. Or they could remain together. Either way, she wasnât sure she would find a new soulmate, someone that was meant for her and her alone. â Of course I will come to see you! You have to remember that I was raised in this âbrilliant placeâ and that it wonât cause me to forget someone like you. I rather enjoy petting you after all, â she teased with a wink. â I find you rather useful as well. Iâve never had a seeing-eye demon before. Very convenient. â Which was more teasing of course, she just enjoyed having him with her. When they were somewhere she felt they could safely travel from, she smiled and took his hand. â Not very much, really. But you do have to trust me, â Bethany murmured as she pressed a gentle kiss to his cheek, envisioning the place they were meant to go to. One moment, they were stood in the mortal realm, the next. . .her eyes blinked as she was able to take in the striking appearance of her new friend. White marble surrounded them, a huge tub built into the floor in the center of the part of the temple they were in right then. From the edge, they could see the other temples, but her gaze was on him. There were ornate jars on a tray beside the giant bath, holding her favorite salts, lotions and oils for her bath, smelling of eucalyptus and lilies. A white chaise sat a short distance away, her sheer covering still thrown carelessly over the back. â Welcome, Salem, to my home. Youâre more beautiful than I thought youâd be, â she breathed, lifting one slightly glowing golden hand to cup his face, a shy smile spreading over her lips. Through nearly sheer white curtains was her bedroom, her symbol resting above a massive bed that was draped in the softest white blankets she could find. â Shall we start the bath or will I get the chance to see your true form? â
