A B O U T:
- Bruce really got the kick in the ass from the start. Not only is he a child of a villain but the son of the man who literally works and rules the dead. He is branded to be bad and this label has molded and spat out the perfect image.
- Hades never had time for Bruce, sure, the man was cast aside as just another villain but since he was literally already being punished to live his life in the dark and grimy underworld and no one wanted to take his job… Bruce spent a lot of time alone. Just the big bad son of Hades and he learned quickly to use not just his family’s name, but his size to make sure he wasn’t scraping knuckles with the worst of the worst. He had to have fear set behind him which was what brought him out to be the person not to be messed with. He’s just as manipulative as his father always was, making bets or taking names for things of interest whenever he could. And if you couldn’t meet his needs… well it was your soul he gets to keep.
- Then The Soul Stealer boys came to play. Bruce and his gang teaming together to create the gang that would wreck havoc between worlds. Bruce loved that power and fear he was able to hold and wanted to hear his father be proud of him but of course… he didn’t seem to be noticed much. Whatever, Bruce just let the new gang take place that Hades had removed himself from. And the brutes don’t plan on stopping their chaos now. ((totally a plot we can play into with characters who want to be in it))
-as the son of hades he has a few of his father’s powers. speaking to the dead and manipulation of fire. he’s sure he will get more as time goes on but for now all he can hear is the moans of the death and with a few fire rituals even see a few morning souls as they pass through to the underworld. Bruce becomes pretty out of it when too many voices get loud and he can’t stop them. but anyone can ask to speak to the dead if bruce is willing to give his energy on opening up the underworld. it’s a price you pay for with him.
- He doesn’t strut this overly cocky persona like his father though, Bruce tried to be an average teen with interests and friends. Some even said he was pleasing to be around if he didn’t feel his step on the ladder was being toyed with that’s when the heat comes and bruce is not a force to be reckoned with when he is angry. Honestly, Bruce just wants friends. He wants people to look past the bad parts of him of his father and give him a chance for once but… he has a twisted way about him, hes almost ashamed to admit he does want a true friend to connect with.
H E A D C A N N O N S:
- It’s rumored that Bruce is name after Hades favorite pet, Cerberus, this is all a fact but Bruce is embarrassed to be named after some stupid three headed dog so he always says it’s coincidence.
-bruce was created unconventionally when perse and hades were not lucky having a child. hades took soil from the underworld and persephone took the seed of a pomegranate and planted it in her garden and when a pomegranate grew bruce was inside. so he was given life from the plant of persephone and the soil given from hades and created their son; obv persephone wanted a son to not be so lonely in the down world. and that was how the god of life and death was born.
- He has had very little time controlling his Necromancy and a result of that he hasn’t been able to drown out the sounds of the dead like his father has learned to do. You can see him constantly listening to loud music with headphones just to get some peace.
-The whispers of the dead is also a reason why you might be talking to Bruce one second and the next he is flipping out because someone on the other side is complaining to him. He doesn’t mean to get so angry but he just can’t stand how annoying the dead actually is.
- He tries to listen to ASMR to sleep
- Bruce loves coffee he says it’s the best part about going to Earth
- The way he can connect with a certain spirit of the underworld is only by a ritual that he uses with fire. Other then that the voices he hears are just any random soul that happens to be passing through worlds at the time.
-Bruce has been trying to learn how to cook properly, the underworlds isn’t the place for fine dining and has taken a big interest in the lavish foods he has been getting to eat and how to cook them.
- Surprisingly, Bruce also took great interest in flowers. No one would ever expect the son of the dead would be interested in growth of live but he has never seen so many natural and beautiful colors. He tries to grow plants in his room but he has only ever killed every last thing he’s planted. He is pretty sure it’s because of who he is but he wishes he could create life somehow.
C O N N E C T I O N S:
- poor stolen soul: someone who needed something: hades is known to make deals; give him your soul and he will make it all happen for you. Bruce has the same skill and loves to manipulate people into signing their name to him, just they never read the fine print. once he has your soul… you are bruce’s. and that means you do as he says or he takes everything from you (he will play with it though… make things happen that in the end you aren’t happy).
- part of the gang: the soul stealers are a small gang that bruce created so this would be a role for a few people he can be close with (obviously villains would be the ones to fit the part). Bruce might allow one ‘hero character’ but it would have to be someone bruce is using for Intel, to mess with, or the person really does fit in with the gang as the one exception. every character would have had to pass an initiation night so make sure they are tough males and females are welcome! - best friend: maybe someone bruce has grown up with this role is self explanatory and can be plotted to be perfect. -lab partners: maybe dont get along
-partners in crime: shes always loved adventure and bruce never turns her down when she wants to do something with him. only the two are both easy to point the blame at each other when they get caught and whoever gets away with it is the winner...until the next adventure. (nora turner) -enemies/competition: they can’t stand eachother for whatever reason; maybe they are always trying to out bad each other.
- ex’s/hookups: Bruce isnt just known for stealing sould but loves taking nights for a little more fun., sex definitely gives him the high he gets from chaos and fighting so if he hasn’t slept with you he probably has tried. I would love all types of relationships; good, bad, secret, one night stands, serious and heart breaking, and maybe something to work up to.
♣ the one in his heart: he never saw it coming. she was just a girl, another hookup…right? but after taking her virginity and not being able to get her out of his mind he began to…feel for this girl. he’s never experienced this and as they kept their growing relationship a secret he exploded and broke it off when she found of her secret that could expose him as someone soft hearted; he was already falling for a royal human, now she knew he was curious about earth’s beauty? no it wouldn’t do. so avoid her he did and… now they are at school together (candice)

♣ secrets: not only are they never meant to be but she has her own secrets. she is not the perfect princess people want her to be and bruce gives her a place to be herself; the only issue is no one can know they are best friends...and lately it’s very obvious what started off as FWB is becoming much more. and bruce just wants to be with her, (haven)
- rivals: obviously not everyone gets along so bruce would need people that he gets in fights with and just can’t seem to get along with no matter what.
- i know your secret: it’s known that (persephone? this is who id imagine his mother being) is the one with the heart but he didn’t get to see her much and parts of her lives in bruce, it’s just sad that mostly hades’ influence shaped his son. but bruce has a love of nature and beauty, only living in the land of the dead he can’t grow anything, this will be his only chance to start and maybe someone can find this out about him. he doesn’t want anyone knowing this of course so he would threaten them to keep his secret he has a rep to keep up of course.
- unlikely friends and we keep it that way: after a night of hooking up they were meant to pass ways, not being anything but two people who wanted a good night and good sex. but after bruce somehow kept running into this person when he came from the underworld he found himself just spending more and more time with them… of course their statuses made it certain they couldn’t let that be known and so it’s all done under the hush, hush. dinners in the back of a dark hole in the wall restaurant. him visting them with little people around. he doesn’t mind them… surprisingly;
- we are not going to get along: they dont really have a reason to be complete enemies but ever since the one found out about a friendship between their sister the two have it out for each other. it was supposed to be a secret friendship but having family little is kept secret and now these two just can’t get along;
- one might say were family: these aren’t the traditional (second) cousins. they don’t get along and it’s mostly his fault. he hates her father and mother and is slightly jealous of her. he has to live in the underworld with his father forever. and that sucks;
