I was waiting for the hubub to settle before I said my piece on the D/MP reveal from a few weeks ago. I see many blog posts about how D:s super die hard fans are trash for still liking him. I do not agree that one has to leave a fandom or stop being a fan because of a celebrity's personal relationships. I also see a lot of blog posts about how D isn't a feminist because of his wife's age. Just remember being a feminist means you support a woman to be able to choose her own path in life. Nobody held a gun to MP's head and made her date D. Even if she was young when they first met she is now well into her adult years and could have left any time should she have felt her relationship was abusive or inappropriate. Feminists support her right to live how she wants. Personally I am able to still like D:s work (or not like it, The Bubble was a trash movie) even though the age gap of his new wife is something I do not like. They are still both adults and still able to govern themselves and who they date is none of my business. Some things I do know, is that all of your fandom bloggers who called other fans all kinds of names and saying they were paid to cover up a secret marriage between D and G (and many other situating choice names), you all should be ashamed and public apologize for being terrible people and lying like you did.
