Reverie: Ebon Light is a fantasy visual novel, currently in production.
In Ebon Light, you play as a human woman from a small village far away from both turmoil and progress. So safe it would be foolish to entertain wanderlust, you’re not afforded the peaceful life you thought you had when chance intervenes.
In the world of Caleare, war is a constant. Peace in such an unruly, violent world is a dream few dare to have, and in the Great Pillar Ocean on the isle of Gha’alia, the dusken elves dare no such thing. They are agents of war, and their long lives, burning passion and fearless abandon have made them the terror of nations.
In Edric you had heard stories of Gha’alian elves, but they were mere tales. Along with werewolves, mermaids and the great Lalari empire, the Gha’alian elves served as a reminder of the violence outside the borders of your village, but they were not apart of your life. Even their threats of terror had grown cold to you, like a children’s nightmare you’d learned to never truly fear.Â
As such, you were quite surprised when a Gha’alian elf tracked you down. Somehow infused with the key to unlocking secrets of the Gha’alian legions’ bitter history, imbued with strength that to a dusken elf was the epitome of lust, they quickly took hold of you and thrust you into their dark world.
It is barely a question of surviving. You are absolutely outside your depth… most likely.
Ebon Light is planned to be a rather long visual novel that will be FREEEEE to download!Â
It will not have full voice acting (or as of yet, even partial voice acting), though in the future an updated and/or expanded version featuring voice acting may become available. This version may not be free, but who’s to say, it’s well into the future at this point.
There are five Gha’alian men who your protagonist can start a romantic relationship with, and many other characters to form relationships with in Ebon Light. You will discover the secrets of what’s been done to you, maneuver the plots of the elves around you, and influence events that have immeasurable consequence. There are many different endings, including premature ones. ;)
