People need to understand that the cursing in the Hellaverse (among other adult shows) has nothing to do with "maturity" and everything to do with not needing to censor ourselves "for the kids".

The way Hellaverse characters curse is just how adults who are confortable with it curse around each other. It's that simple.

So I was talking about this with a mutual @helluvalaura about the fact that Barbie Wire is noticeably absent from Blitz’s teenage circus flashbacks and we also noticed that she has no burn scars, something that is odd considering how fast and how destructive the circus fire was.

That got us thinking that Barbie may have left the circus and had already had a damaged relationship with Blitz before the fire, and that the show is currently letting us believe her reason for hating Blitz is because of the fire as a misdirect.

And this is where I put on my theory hat.

I think the most likely possibility is that her drug abuse developed early and Blitz was the first to find out. Because of how close she and Blitz were, she confided in him and swore him to secrecy. Blitz keeps it and tries to help her out but considering Blitz would be like…a fucking teenager at this time, and he had presumably taking on a lot of responsibility already, he could only keep it under wraps for so long until he told Cash because Cash is the only one with the means to get her actual help.

Blitz would have faith that Cash would get his daughter actual help…only for Cash to let everyone down and throw Barbie onto the street because her addiction is a liability to the circus (which, what a fucking hypocrite, can I put him in the wood chipper?)

When Blitz tried to confront Cash on how terrible what he did was, Cash said to him, “Well if you wanted it done any differently, maybe you should have stepped up and helped her instead of making someone else carry your weight, like you always do!”

So like…just classic gaslighting happening over here (seriously can I PLEASE put Cash Buckzo in the wood chipper?)

And of course, this would lead Barbie to hate Blitz because in her eyes, she confided in him and he ratted her out and ruined her life.

Anyways do with this as you will, hope it hurt your feelings like it hurt mine!

Yessss omg I've had the theory that the reason Barbie hates Blitz isn't the circus fire (and that she'd already cut ties with the circus when the fire happened) for years, but I can never make up my mind about my theories of what it is Barbie hates Blitz for.

I love this theory! I think it's extremely relatable. So many teens do this thing where they swear each other to secrecy on things no teen should have to carry, and then feel big emotions of betrayal and a break in trust if one of them goes to an adult for help. Especially if said adult then uses this to hurt the teen(s) more and drive them further apart.

Fuck this is so painful and tasty. Thank you for the yummy food
