the thing is when some katseye fans say “imagine doing all of this over a normal hiatus” or “the girls can’t talk about her because it’s against their contract” neither of those statements hold up.

from the jump this hasn’t been a regular member “hiatus”; the company and manon gave different reasons for her break and manon subtly hinted that she’s been mistreated and discriminated against by liking that instagram post- if this was a typical hiatus like we’ve seen in other groups, manon would’ve still been included in the comeback music video and concept photos and the girls wouldn’t be awkward about mentioning her or answering questions about her in interviews 🤔

not to mention that HxG has had FOUR months to release an official statement to clarify why she hasn’t returned, but they haven’t because there’s some shit going on. management is fully aware that people are frustrated/confused and the other girls are wrongfully receiving online hate (bc fans are left theorizing and making assumptions) but refuse to release any updates even though they are capable to do so. i feel like if this was happening to any of the other members more fans would be up in arms but since manon is black (and the docuseries painted her in a bad way) stans are just brushing it off cuz they didn’t want her in the group anyway ☕️

quiet as its kept the same mentality that fans have for saying manon isn’t a hard worker is the same reason why the other girls are being overworked and are burning out but yall aren’t ready for that discussion 🥴

i think this HxG company collaboration is the main culprit for all of this, 1) Hybe isn’t truly ready to handle an actual diverse, global group 2) HybexGeffen have conflicting creative directions 3) Geffen managers clearly have a bias for certain members and it shows through past controversies 4) the Pop Star Academy documentary was poorly planned and edited 5) the girls need more PR training i fear 6) i don’t think the executives considered personality dynamics when selecting members 7) capitalism is the root of all evil
