“ hello, araragi! ” despite lying down, turned away from the classroom doors, unlit chewed yellow in his lips, he greets the other in perfect english. could have quite possibly fooled any other person on the street as a tourist if the man would ever take a step outside let alone be seen by other people, but those trips were always limited to when needed. meaning more packets of cigarettes, making sure a certain kid wasn’t doing anything dumb, or simply to people watch ( yet the latter was always boring - who knew why he bothered ) . “ how are you today? the weather is so nice! ”
he still hadn’t sit up yet, english impeccable but still probably sounding like nonsense in this country. he’s lying on his back balancing a chair within his right palm without the support of his fingers. the record was 24 seconds - but this time it would only be 19 before the schoolchair clattered to the floor, the man letting out a chuckle. “ expecting you for a while now. ” - he goes back to japanese, “finally decided to brush up on your studies? ” he’s no teacher and the both of them know it. despite that he has a tone reminiscent of someone with the experience. “ there could be only on reason for you to visit this school, don’tcha think? ”
it was always the same with oshino, it had become simple knowledge for koyomi that oshino would be awaiting him at the cram school whenever he visited, whether that was a good thing or not still had to be decided. but it was safe to say oshino’s presence certainly helped lift some of the weight that was being put on koyomi’s shoulders every other day it seemed now. so much so, that he cracked the smallest of smiles at the other before returning to his usual stoic form. however, he wasn’t too appreciative of how he greeted him, it was sort of annoying but he brushed it aside due to who it was.
taking a few steps forward, he fully entered the classroom, hands reaching behind to close the doors. eyes flicked to focus on oshino himself, finally working up a reply to the other. “i assumed so, you always expect me now. it’s become a kind of tradition between us, huh?” the words could be seen as snarky, but they were genuine, he had become a little too reliant on oshino’s assistance but today was a little different. “yeah, finally. i just got done studying with senjougahara-san, or the tsundere girl as you would put it,” a sigh escaped him as his bag was flung into the corner, arms stretching a little as he moved to take a seat on one of chairs. “i know you’re expecting some sort of request of me today, but i’m good right now. just wanted to swing by and see how things were with the elusive ‘hawaiian shirt man’. how have things been around here?”
