If magic is about exploration and printing bad cards, then why do you make sure cards are not too powerful especially at the affordable uncommon or common price range. The entire point in letting players explore also means printing some overpowered cards sometimes.

A lot of sets have uncommons that function as 'build around me's in draft, like Furnace Celebration in SOM. Do these usually get put in by design, or does development usually ask for 'a build around for the B/R sacrifice deck in SSS'?
Design actively designs build-around me uncommons. Development will make them if there is more needed or if new themes get created or played up during development that want uncommon build around me’s. So, the answer is both design and development put them in.
Why do you print lame cards? I mean, sure, there is a need for vanilla creatures, and those that you would wish to replace from deck, but surely they can still be decent? Yet there are a lot of overpriced cards (in terms of mana) that do some useless things.

You've talked about what you associate yourself with in terms of the color pie (U/R), but what Myers-Briggs type are you?
I took the test many years ago and I tested as ENFJ. I was told that was “The Writer”.
I know R&D views the Kamigawa block as a failure in many respects, but I felt like some of the elements were very well executed. In particular, I think Bushido is one of the most simple and effective combat mechanics ever printed, and I would love to see it come back. Due to the flavor baggage associated with the keyword though, this seems unlikely. Is it possible that we could ever see a re-named Bushido someday? I know R&D probably doesn't like to create new keywords for existing abilities willy-nilly, but it isn't totally unprecedented (ie. fading -> vanishing [and yeah I know that there are some rules issues tied up in that one]).
I am very eager to rename and reprint bushido.  When the right set rolls along, I’ll do my best to convince R&D we should do it.
Fading and Vanishing are very close in terms of their reminder text. What was the reason behind making a new keyword rather than just adding Fading on to the one non-creature card Vanishing was printed on? (Not that I'm hating on Vanishing, I think most of the cards with the keyword are pretty sweet, actually).
Vanishing was the fixed version of fading. Players kept playing fading wrong so when we brought it back in Time Spiral block, we fixed it.
What would you consider to be the most hilarious magic card? Whether it be flavor-wise, or maybe even in the design and mechanics of the card itself, which card just evokes chuckles from you?
The card that makes me laugh the most is the card Chicken a la King from Unglued.

I've always been a fan of Thrulls. I saw there were a few in Guildpact, but I only recently got back into the game. Is there any possibility we'll ever see more of them?
There’s always a possibility. I will say that I’m a fan of thrulls too.

I demand that you bring Homarids back. Seafood tribal FTW.Also: Will there ever be Minotaur tribal that doesn't suck? I still have bad memories of the bitter disappointment of trying to build a decent deck around Digeridoo and Aether Storm.
I wouldn’t hold my breath for the homarids return, (you make underwater jokes, I make underwater jokes) but I do believe minotaur will eventually get their day. Minotaurs are a little more iconic than homarids.
In your opinion, what is the best designed mechanic that's been released and why?
Flying. Richard Garfield nailed it in Alpha. Why? It’s is super flavorful and intuitive allowing everyone to play it correctly plus it has great gameplay.
