You had a Friend in Me
IâM BACK!! Oh god its been two weeks since I posted a story. I missed you guys like crazy. Hopefully you like my newest piece. I went a⊠Unique direction. Enjoy!
She didnât stumble, fall, and break like they expected her to. There was no big meltdown or confrontation. No apologies. Or promises to do better. No, when nearly everyone in class made it clear they werenât friends with Marinette anymore; nothing happened. They had accused her of being mean to Lila and a bully as the reasons they couldnât be friends anymore and had expected the girl to defend herself at the very least.
Marinette just shrugged, and that was it.
Even when they asked her to resign from being class president, she easily stood up and said she quit.
Most of the class, Alya, in particular wanted to be angry at her lack of reaction; shout and scream at the bluenette for seeming not to care about the severance of their friendships. But how could they?
They knew it was their choice. They were mature enough to know that everyone reacted differently to things. And yelling at Marinette for not being emotional enough at the fact that they werenât friends anymore just showed their own immaturity. And that would be like telling Marinette she won; and that wasnât worth it.
Besides, It was only September, they were sure Marinette would come crawling back to them soon.
âŠ
âŠ
      Marinette never did.
âŠ
On the outside, it didnât look like much had changed with the class. While the class werenât friends with Marinette, they still chose to be cordial. They still did assigned group projects with. Everyone doing their part. However, no one went out of their way to speak with the Bluenette. And she did the same and seemed content.
Despite appearances, things had definitely changed in class. And it didnât take long for everyone to realize it.
The first was Alixâs birthday. Everyone had been so excited. Birthdays were always the best for Bustierâs class. The entire classroom would be decorated. There would be cake and balloons; a wonderful and thoughtful perfectly wrapped present.
However, when the kids arrived that morning, it was too the same ordinary classroom as the day before.
It was disappointing to say the least. The kids scrambled to try to throw something, anything together before Alix arrived. However, it was too late. Alix arrived not long after them, and seeing the smile fall from her face broke their hearts.
No one knew what to say. Or how to explain why nothing was decorated. Why there was no cake and or gift. They sat awkwardly at their desks.
It was only after Marinette arrived, just a few minutes before the bell rang, that they all got their answer.
Marinette. Marinette had been the class president. The class president was responsible for any class birthday, trip, or fundraiser. She had always gone above and beyond. Unlike, Chloe, the previous class president, who only ever put in their bare minimum (and she made Sabrina do that); a cupcake, a balloon tied to their desk, and a card signed by the entire class.
Marinette had been their friend so she always made sure to do her very best to celebrate. But she wasnât class president anymore. And she wasnât their friend. She wasnât obligated to do anything.
      So she didnât.
And while the class had been meaning to, they never got around to electing a new class president to replace the one their forced out of office.
      It burned a little.
Particularly, when the class realized they were hard pressed to find volunteer to assume the role. No one had that much time on their hands. No one wanted to be responsible for anything going wrong. Or not living up to expectations.
Friend or not, they could admit Marinette was a hard act to follow.
Unfortunately, to prevent Chloe from taking the job again, Alya was forced to step up.
It didnât take long to realize that planning for fundraisers and dances and parties was equivalent to the work of seven people. She didnât know how Marinette handled it so well.
School trips, once amazing and carefully planned to the last detail, now were boring and hastily put together; the best one was a trip to the museum, mostly because they got to have ice cream after.
Fresh baked sweets on big tests days were gone too. It had become a tradition that on days of major, study hard and cram for weeks prior, tests that treats were brought in the morning. It lightened the tension of the day, and just made everyone feel better.
The morning of a huge math test that had caused a few kids to hyperventilate the day before and of; delicious goods were nowhere to be found.
When the bell rang, Kim had quickly asked Bustier where the food was.
To which the teacher replied, âMarinette always asked me if she could bring them in for her friends.â
And that was all they needed to know.
It sucked but it was something they could live without.
Favors were the next thing they realized were gone.
Before whenever they needed something; they would automatically go to Marinette for help. A babysitter, sweets, costumes, dresses, set design.
Alya and Nino found themselves spending their date nights watching their young siblings together. Most of their friends refused to babysit. And the few that were willing were far too busy.
Mylene found that the school playâs custom designed costumes were a thing of the past. So were the artfully decorated set designs.
Alix had to make her own banners. So did Kim.
Rose couldnât just run to Marinette when she need a new fabulous dress. Marinette had always made it clear that she was willing to help out a friend whenever they asked her about costs.
Then the favors they never realized they even got were gone.
Discounts at the bakery were only for friends and family. Unfortunately that also meant the discount for their families were gone as well.
Ladybug suddenly stopped giving Alya interviews. And when Alya asked why, the hero said she only did it because the reporter was Marinetteâs friend. It hurt the Ladyblog badly.
Someone coming to defend them whenever Chloe threw a tantrum and managing to calm the blond down. Even Alya found she wasnât as much of match as thought, when the spoiled rotten girl was on rampage.
This effect class morale dramatically. And it wasnât before long that the class shifted to what it was like before Alya or Adrien came to school, with Chloe trying to declare dominance every other second. But this time, the other students were cowed like they used to be. No, they had seen Marinette standing up for herself and them for years. If she could do it, so could they. Sadly, they werenât enough. With just the right amount of effort, Chloe could intimidate anyone.
Adrien who was soon confused about why the friend safe haven had suddenly turned hostile
Marinette just shook her head. Chloe asked (ordered) Marinette to come to her penthouse one October morning. The blonde had realized the dynamic in class had changed dramatically and wanted to seize the opportunity with an iron first; and she knew she couldnât do that if Dupain-Cheng was still her number one enemy.
Chloe proceeded to lay down an offer of truce. Chloe and Marinette would leave each other alone, would stay out of each otherâs way, and didnât interfere with anything the other did unless it was school related so they absolutely had to. There would be no threats, stealing, lies, or intimidation from Chloe towards Marinette. In return, Marinette would let Chloe do her thing without trying to defend or save anyone.
As long as both did that, there would be peace.
Marinette agreed.
Thus Chloeâs reign for her symbolic iron throne began. The queen bee had no illusions of who was who. Marinette was a Stark. Chloe: a Lannister. Â But Chloe was a smart lion. She had no problems letting the North be independent away from the rest of the kingdom. Chloeâs kingdom.
And much like show, there was no win or lose. When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die. There is no middle ground. And Chloe would win.
Lila was the first to feel to the effects. Chloe refused to have competition for Queen Bee. And the Italian girl became took Marinetteâs place as her new number one target.
Lila soon learned that dealing with Marinette was one thing, dealing with Chloe was a whole different animal. Â While Marinette fought for peace, Chloe was more than willing to rage war. And unlike Marinette, Chloe didnât care what anyone thought about her. Lila could scream to the world about how much of a bully Chloe was but what did it matter. Everyone in class knew that already.
She couldnât threaten Chloe like she did Marinette. In fact, the Chloe regularly threatened her. In front of the other students, and Bustier.
She couldnât try to get Chloe expelled as Damocles was quick to bend to the blondeâs will.
Chloe regularly âAccidentlyâ tripped Lila, ruined her homework, stole any projects she had, destroyed her phone one time, verbally ripped her to shreds in front of everyone and even worse in private. Chloe would play mean and outright nasty pranks that would leave Lila in tears. More than a few sets of clothes were destroyed. To make everything worse, the blond brat routinely made her look like a fool in front of Adrien. She even got her mother to mock the Agreste brand about their use of a lackluster model to the point where Gabriel fired her.
Nearly everything Lila had accused Marinette of doing, she found herself actually having to face from Chloe. Who wouldâve thought the bluenette was doing her a favor by being all moral and self-righteous that it would draw the attention of the evil that was Chloe Bourgeois.
The truce happened one grey October Morning, Chloe officially ruled the class again by November. Lila was seriously considering changing schools.
No one had the time to fawn over her. And she certainly didnât have time to amaze anyone with her stories. No she was too busy fending off Chloeâs attacks. And wondering why the brat kept referring to her as a Tyrell. Or Alya and Nino as Karstarks. And the rest of the class as Freysâ.
One by one, each student realized they had lost something else. Something they actually really missed.
When the class picture was taken, Juleka had been just late and no one realized it. Rose had comforted her again. But no one was able to get the photographer to take another picture. At the end of the day, Juleka still felt really bad about it and had to fight the urge to call Marinette that night. Marinette was always willing to just listen no matter the time.
And it wasnât long where the other students found themselves in similar situations that all ended with them really wanting to talk to Marinette.
Alya after a fight with her sister.
Rose after Prince Ali wrote to her that he would be ending communication.
Nino after a gig went terribly.
Kim after he lost one of his games.
Alix after she broke her watchâŠ. Again.
Mylene after a fight with Ivan.
Ivan after he failed a math test.
Nathaniel after Marc decided to end their partnership.
Sure, they went to their other friends for comfort. But Marinette was different. When one of them went to any of the other students with a problem; it felt just like that. Them complaining about their problems and the others doing their best to cheer them up and offer solutions. At the end, they still felt like they were on their own; like it was still just their problem. With MarinetteâŠ
She always made them feel like they were on the same team. She cared like they were her problems too. And wasnât going to stop until they were fixed. Marinette was someone they could just talk to without judgement or getting harsh opinions; no criticism. With her, they never felt like they were being judged; even when pointed out that it might, in fact, be their own fault.
They missed Marinette when they afraid or nervous. Sheâd always manage to calm them down, assure them, be their biggest supporter if need be. And her just being them made them feel better; like they stood more of a chance. She take their mind of things, get them to relax, smile, and by the time whatever it was that made them so terrified came up, they had already completely forgotten why they were anxious.
The strangest part was they even missed her when things were happy as well.
When anything good happened, one of their first instincts was to call Marinette; scream their excitement. And listen to Marinette scream back just as happy as they were, despite that she was in no way affected.
No; on the outside the class hadnât changed much. Everyone still did their own thing. Homework was done. Tests were dealt with. Sure class trips werenât as wonderful as they used to be. Birthdays only with store bought cupcakes and maybe some balloons. Everyone who started out as friends were still friends by the end of the years. It was just like anyone other class in the world.
âŠ
Except they were never like all other classes. They had always felt like they were special. Most kids hadnât looked forward to school day but the students of Bustierâs class had. There had always been something new and wonderful to talk about; some adventure to go on. Now there was nothing. There was still life in the classroom; still laughter and fun. But it was like something took the spark that made it come alive.
And it was hard to pretend otherwise.
And they couldnât really figure out why.
One or Two (Rose and Nino) could admit, whenever they found themselves alone with their thoughts in class and looked around, that were was a hollowness to the classroom that had never existed before. It didnât make sense. Everyone (minus Chloe) was still friendly with one another. They all still cared about each other. They were all still really good friends. Good but not as good as they used to be.
âŠ
Theyâd never be as good as they used to be again.
âŠ
The class for their end of year party had gone to the pool. They all had a blast. On their way home, they walked by the park and heard music and laughter. It didnât take long to realize that there was a party happening.
âHappy Birthday, Marinette!â Caught their attention.
From where they stood, just outside the party, the students and ex friends of Marinette could make out other students from different classes from their school.
Aurore the creator of the new blog BugOut. There was Marc, Claude, Mireille, Ondine, Bridgette, the Ice King that was Felix Culpa, and a bunch of other students they never knew Marinette was friends with. Even Luka was there.
âI didnât know it was Marinetteâs birthday,â Adrien frowned.
So did Alya. Mostly because it was her job to remember as class president. Partly because it was the first time she ever forgot her former (best) friendâs birthday. âIt wasnât on the list,â She gave a weak excuse.
âIt looks like fun,â Juleka whispered.
And it did. There was a live band, a feast of food, people laughing and dancing; it all looked so⊠Alive.
Alix stuffed her hands in her pockets. Her throat clenched at the sight of the laughing bluenette who didnât look like she had a care in the world. âWho knew Marinette had so many friends?â
Nino glanced down, âShe looks happy.â
      And Marinette did.
She looked like the happiest girl in the world.
      But she always did.
Even after they ended their friendships with her.
It didnât seem to both the bluenette. She kept being her positive and cheerful self, except they couldnât bask in her sunlight anymore.
They watched when Luka got on their makeshift stage with his guitar, âMarinette you are the most special person Iâve ever met. Youâre kind, sweet, and way too thoughtful for your own good. Which is why we all wanted you to knowâŠâ he started playing his guitar. A familiar tune filled the air, all the party goers starts to sings.
âYouâve got a friend in me
Youâve got a friend in me
When the road looks rough ahead
And youâre miles and miles
From your nice warm bed
You just remember what your old pal said
Boy, youâve got a friend in me
Yeah, youâve got a friend in meâ
The song left a bad taste of Irony on their tongues.
They thought they had left Marinette behind, somehow it had ended up being the opposite.
âŠ
      They felt like forgotten toys.
One by One
I absolutely fell in love with @unmaskedagainâs HBIC Marinette AU, and I thought maybe I should try to write something. Enjoy!
.
As soon as the words âWeâre not friends anymore,â were uttered, the entire courtyard went silent.
Marinette raised an eyebrow. âWhat?â
ChloĂ© winced. She could tell Marinette was giving the reporter every chance to take back what she had said, but alas, the death wish had been cast. âI said weâre not friends anymore, Marinette!â
Marinette made a tutting noise and looked back at her lunch. âYouâre sure you want this?â
âWhy wouldnât I? You actually hurt someone, Marinette! You hurt my friend.â Alya spat, her voice getting softer and softer towards the end.
âThen Iâm sorry, guys,â Marinette said, her voice emotionless. âbut you deserve what comes your way.â And with that, she stood up and walked away, leaving the dumbfounded group to scramble for the meaning in her last few words.
âWhat does she mean what comes our way?â Alix asked to nobody in particular.
âHow am I supposed to know? I wasnât even there!â
Chloé, still watching from afar, shook her head sadly. Under all the pink polka dots and flowers, there was a stone-cold killer.
                             - đ -
When Marinette just stood up and walked away, Alya was immediately confused. This wasnât part of the plan!
They had expected Marinette to do something along the lines of beg for their forgiveness, or shower them in gifts to regain their favor! Notâwhatever that was!
But as soon as they were about to go after her, the bell rang, so they walked back to class, muttering among themselves. But whenever Alya looked at the faces of the other students, all she saw was pity and loathing, with the occasional furtive glances.
And for the life of her, she couldnât figure out why!
When they got back to the classroom, they decided to ask the one person who seemed to knowâwellâanything about their situation. And whyle they werenât exactly happy with who it was, they had to talk to ChloĂ©.
âYou canât be serious,â ChloĂ© said. âYouâre that dense?â
âHey, if all youâre going to do is mock us, weâll leave.â Alya threatened.
ChloĂ© rolled her eyes. âFine. The reason everyone hates you now is because you have literal targets on your back. Happy?â
âWhat?â Max spluttered. âThat makes no sense! Logically, we havenât dââ
âCan it, robo-nerd. You know how in cheerleader movies, there re always the queens of the school?â
There was a murmuring of aggreement.
âYeah, well, itâs not just in the movies, hon. Marinetteâs been the head bitch in charge since sixth grade, and I guess she took pity on you and decided to be nice. She did a great job, too,â ChloĂ© added as an afterthought.
âBut Marinetteâs justâŠMarinette! Sheâs not like that!â Alya protested.
âYou wanna know why I donât like Dupain-Cheng? Because Iâve had to compete with her for the top spot for four years. And sheâs won every single time.â She turned on the group with a vicious smirk on her face. âBut youâŠyouâve got it in for yourselves.â
Chloé flipped her hair and walked out, as it was evident no teacher would be showing up.
Alya and the rest were confused. On one handâŠMarinette. On the other hand, Marinette. What were they to do?
Apologize? Nah.
                            - đ -
Marinette walked into the empty classroom with a cold expression on her face.
âDupain-Cheng,â she heard distinctly, from somewhere inside the dusty area. She flipped on the lights.
âQuit it, Chlo. You donât have to pretend to hate me anymore.â ChloĂ© heaved a sign and flopped onto one of the tables.
âGood. It was exhausting pretending I was such a tyrant! Have any food to help me regain my energy?â
Marinette rolled her eyes and tossed a plastic baggie of macarons in ChloĂ©âs direction. They hit her face and she gasped dramatically. âHow could this have happened to someone as majestic as I?â
âSo can I have the cookies back?â
âNot a chance.â ChloĂ© stuck out her tongue and started munching on the treats, shrugging when Marinette glared at her playfully. âWhat? You gave them to me.â
Marinette sighed and laid out a map of the school.
âHereâs the plan. First, we wait for them to think what you said was just a joke.â She moved a group of variously colored pom-poms across the map, onto where Bustierâs class was.
âAnd since we transferred to a different class, theyâll have a false sense of security,â ChloĂ© finished, catching on. âAnd once they think theyâre in the clear, we pick them off one by one.â
âExactly!â Marinette beamed. âSince weâre saving Lie-la for last, letâs start with the second-worst offender.â
âAdrien.â they said simultaneously.
Marinette pulled a white pom-pom out of the group and placed it next to a pink one and a yellow one. âIâm thinking something involving Chat.â
âMaybe âLadybugâ makes a public declaration of love for Marinette Dupain-Cheng?â ChloĂ© suggested, wiggling her eyebrows.
âNo way, ChloĂ©!â
ChloĂ© made a humph noise and rested her head on the desk. âThen I got nothinâ.â
âNo, I was thinking something along the lines of a âhey, Chat, do you have that one person that youâll hate forever and ever? Mineâs Adrien Agresteâ type of scenario.â
ChloĂ© bolted up. âThat just might work!â
Marinette pulled out a fluffy black pom-pom and a glittery gold one. âAnd youâre going to be there to witness it.â
âAre you going to yell at me, too? I deserve it.â FĂ©lix/Marinette + Lila (Btw Congrats on getting past 100 followers)
Aw thank you so much! Iâm so sorry that this took so long to finish! I wanted it to be perfect and i ended up writing a Sick Marinette+ First meeting Felix+ your prompt lol. I hope you enjoy it!

Felix convincing Marinette to stop doing favors for her friends and step down from class rep to make her friends realize how much they need her. Felix stopping Marinette from helping, reminding her they need her more than she needs them.
Note: This is not in the same universe as my Miraculous: Tales of the New Order Fic.
They were two weeks in to their spring semester and she had been re-elected as class representative. Her parents even baked her her favorite cake. There was just one teensy-weensy tiny problem. She didnât want to be class rep anymore; she didnât even run. Lila had told Alya that there was no way either of them could be class rep with their busy lives and Marinette had been doing such a great job already and, this one Marinette had overheard âHonestly, I think it will give her a sense of importance, so maybe sheâll ease up on her jealousy of me.â And that was just the magic word that made Alya agree, reminding the rest of the class why they voted for Marinette in the first place. It didnât help that Bustier was easily swayed and already upset with her for not being the âmodel-studentâ ever since the liars return.
        âJust quit,â Felix told her.
Raising her head from throw pillow sheâd been groaning into, she looked at him like heâd suddenly grown an extra head. âPardon?â
âQuit, itâs clearly stressful for you and you no longer have the same passion for your friends that had originally compelled you to run in the first place, so quit. If not for common senseâ sake, then for your mental health. If Bustier tries to give you shit for it, I can pull a few strings.â He smirked devilishly; one hundred percent serious.
âButâŠâ she looked around, gesturing feebly, âthey need me.â
âExactly, they need you.â He pointed his bow at her, readying for his 5:30 violin practice.
Hugging her knees, she frowned. âIs that really okay? Can I just do that?â
âAny good therapist would tell you yes. Besides, theyâre perfectly capable college students, itâs not like their the city of Paris.â
She pursed her lips, glowering at him. He didnât try to hide his grin.
Her shoulders slumped as he began playing the violin version of Jaggedâs dedication to Ladybug, theyâd composed it together as a special favor for his favorite (and only) niece.
Marinette wasnât cruel, a little petty, yes, who wasnât? But cruel, no. Sheâd given a weekâs notice to the necessary parties, namely, the other class representatives and Bustier. The young teacher thought she was kidding, pointing out that it was too early for an April foolsâ joke. Sheâd held her tongue and left the room. She spent the week organizing a folder of all of the actual class representative duties and another folder of the duties Bustier said were hersâ but was really just the work she didnât want to do, sheâd triple checked with every class rep, including ChloĂ© and Sabrina which had sent the blonde away fuming. Marinette still hadnât found out what became of that. Sheâd gotten a doctorâs note and the word of the school counselor, because though she would love one, she didnât actually have a therapist. Sheâd have to talk to her parents about that later.
đđđ
On Friday, she made her announcement.
        âWhat,â cried Alix.
âYou canât just do that,â snapped Alya. âWe all voted for you.â
âMarinette, can I speak to you outside for a moment, right now,â said Bustier.
She regarded them with an icy gaze. âNo. I will also no longer be doing free commissions.â
âWhy not? What happened to us being friends?â
âIâm sure thereâs a way you can still help everyone, right Marinette,â he said, looking at her with that, what did Felix call it, pathetic pleading smile. He was quite the centrist. She shook her head.
Rose raised her hand, shaking it frantically, âDoes this mean you wonât be helping Kitty Section anymore?â
âUp for negotiation,â she said, eyes on Lila. The Italian gave her an evil smirk and then burst into tears.
âIs this because of me? Did I put too much pressure on you?â
Alya rested a comforting had on her shoulder as the other reached out and insisted that no, it wasnât her fault. âCome on girl, you know Marinetteâs just being petty and after we went out of our way to help her.â
âYeah Marinette, whatâs your deal,â said Kim, glaring at her.
Similar cries came from the rest of her bolder classmates.
She knew who her supporters were there though. âMoving forward, thatâs all I came to say. Here,â she handed Bustier her doctorâs note and left, a chorus of dissent behind her.
Dropping onto her chaise she sighed, it was as though the earth had been lifted from her shoulders.
âWow, Marinette, you were really brave in there,â said Tikki, resting on her head.
âThanks. Itâs a lot easier when you pretend to be wearing a mask.â Her phone buzzed in her pocket. âHey Felix.â Tikki waved even though she wasnât captured on camera.
âYouâre in your room, thatâs either a good sign or the worst possible outcome.â
She laughed, âYouâre terrible. I just got back, I made my announcement, I even told my parents. Well, I told them last night during dinner, that way Bustier canât turn it around on me. Now weâll just have to see how Monday goes.â
âYeah. Wish I could be there. Call me if you need anything?â
âOf course. Still on for tonight?â
âAbsolutely. See you in a few hours.â
Around lunch time sheâd gotten several visits, few sheâd allowed up. Sheâd explained to her parents that she was losing friends fast in class and left a list of people she was still on close terms with.
âAlyaâs been fuming all morning about it. Itâs getting kind of tiring but, you did what you had to do,â said Nino. âIâm sorry things had to get this bad though. Anything I can do to help?â
She bit her lip, looking to where Tikki was hiding, the kwami shrugged. âWell, you could tell Adrien not to bother me.â
âBut I thoughtâno, never mind. Iâll do my best.â
        âThanks.â
Then it was Rose and Juleka.
âWeâve already called Luka, did he tell you he was threatening to quit,â said Rose, teary-eyed.
âWe can figure something out,â mumbled Juleka. âSorry for, you know.â
âOkay. Let me know what you come up with. Youâve got the whole weekend.â
        âWhat do you mean?â
âIâm spending the weekend in London.â
        âYou too,â asked Juleka, surprised.
She nodded, refusing to elaborate any further. Juleka could figure it out.
âWell,â said Nathaniel, âI tried my best, Alix doesnât really get it though. Marc sends his regards.â Marc was out sick; heâd caught a nasty bug during the break overseas. He hadnât even come back yet. âIt will at least be pretty fun to see who ends up representative next.â
âLet the game of thrones begin,â she offered, having no frame of reference for the joke, other than the basic understanding that it was a war book.
đđđ
Sheâd spent the weekend in London with Luka and Felix, Jagged had a concert there and heâd given them backstage passes. Clara was there because her show was happening on Sunday, obviously they she had to give them passes for that. Marinette wished she could have brought Kagami, though the fencer admitted she listened to neither musician, sheâd never been to a concert before. Tomoe wasnât that ready to loosen the leash.
đđđ
Stepping off the train, sheâd found her inbox flooded with messages from her classmates asking for last minute favors. She deleted them.
âRemember, itâs not being mean, itâs just taking care of your mental health,â said Luka, sensing the regretful shift in her melody.
        âYeah, I know.â
He shared a look with Felix over her head and she didnât quite care what it meant. She was just reminding herself of that old proverb, âYou canât feed others from an empty bowl.â
đđ
âWell, until we vote in a new class rep, Alya?â
âIâm way too busy, Mme. And Lila canât do it either, all her charities, not to mention her injuries.â
âI really wish I could be of more help,â she said, sniffling.
âItâs not your fault Marinetteâs being petty and lazy,â said Alix, shooting a glare to the back where she sat with Nathaniel.
âOf course. Marinette, are you sure you donât want to stay on until thereâs a proper replacement, even training someone, Rose, perhaps?â She wore that bright, welcoming smile that had gotten her the love of all her students these past years, made them ignore every ill-advised and downright incompetent method sheâd used on them. Or well, Marinette wanted to believe it was incompetency, but wasnât that worse?
She looked at Rose, giving a subtle shake of her head.
âI-I wouldnât be able to Mme. Kitty Section is really taking off right now and my parents still need my help with the shop and my little brother.â
Theyâd rehearsed it over FaceTime so she wouldnât bulk under the pressure.
âUm, wellâŠChloĂ©, would you like to reclaim your old position?â
âNo,â snapped the blonde, arms crossed. Bustier had no idea why she was glaring at her.
âOkay then. Marinette are you sureââ
        âPositive.â
So, Bustierâs class had no representative, which left them out of a lot and got Bustier further scrutiny from the other teachers. Marinette couldnât have quit at a better time because fundraising for the Spring Fling Dance as well as the Winter and Spring holiday ski trips were beginning and the other classes needed to know if theyâd be chipping in. Bustierâs class had still been able to attend the Valentineâs dance, those funds had been contributed before the Christmas holiday, but no one got any dresses or suit adjustments from Marinette. It didnât help matters much that Lila had spent January lying about how she knew this designer in Italy who could absolutely make everyone a nice outfit for the dance.
âSheâs the very best, better than Audrey Bourgeois. I get all my clothes from her. Do you want anything Adrien?â
âNo thank you, Father wonât allow for me to wear another designerâs clothes.â
        âBut arenât there exceptions?â
        âOne. And this isnât it.â
âWhat a shame. I can get the rest of you outfits for free of course, even you Marinette.â She gave her a saccharine smile.
Alya, Alix, Kim, and even Ivan glared up at her. Daring her to do something, anything to persecute her for.
âNo thank you,â she said. Calm and terse, just like Penny taught her.
Two weeks before the dance, when everyone who had listened to Lila started wondering where their orders were.
âIâm so sorry you guys, there was a terrible robbery and Charlene, the designer, was badly hurt in the process. Iâm afraid your outfits were taken.â
They understood, of course. Such things happened; it was no oneâs fault. Marinette received a flood of calls, texts, emails, and even callouts on the school blog, demanding, then begging, and then finally berating her for not helping her friends in their time of need.
âOh, Marinette,â said Aurore visiting the bakery, she and Jean Duparc were the admins for the blog. âWeâre her for you, in fact, Iâve already taken those horrible comments down and Jean is in the process of banning them. Iâm sure there will be an open spot with another teach soon, that way you can finally leave the akuma class.â
She gave her a half smile, boxing her brioche. âThanks Aurore. That really means a lot.â
She showed up the Valentineâs dance Friday evening, Felix on her arm keeping his well-bred, upper class, model composure, a carefully layered façade heâd built over the years that she was going to enjoy watching peel away that night because he could get away with having zero filter there, and looked around at her classmates. Rose and Juleka wore dresses theyâd ordered from her website three months before this all went down, because Roseâs birthday was Valentineâs day. Alya wore an old dress Marinette had seen in her closet before that the blogger had sworn up and down that she hated, only keeping it because it was a present. Alix was in a suit, which, good for her. Mylene and Ivan werenât there, they couldnât get outfits together in time. The other guys were in rental tuxes and Lila, Lila wore a Gabriel original, perks of her modeling job. A perk, Felix loudly pointed out, she could have easily extended to her friends seeing as she was Gabrielâs âmuse.â
đđđ
Heâd excused himself to go further instigate drama, not the most challenging of tasks, with Lila. She didnât recognize him right away; she just knew he was here with Marinette and that was enough to set her lackeys onto him. Pity Ivan wasnât there, at first glance he was intimidating enough and then she wouldnât have had to deal with this new blonde brat who refused to listen to her claims of Marinetteâs past bullying and current attitude.
âOh, Iâm sorry, wasnât that bullying just things you made up due to your lying disease?â
âHey, donât be a jerk,â Kim said, springing to Lilaâs defense.
        Marinette poured herself some punch.
âI like your date,â said Mireille. âHeâs a model, isnât he?â
        She nodded, âIn London.â
âMarinette, can I talk to you for a second,â said an all too familiar voice that if she wasnât careful, could still make her stomach flip and her heart flutter. And she hated that, for more than the unnecessary guilt. âIn private.â
She shared a look with Mireille.
âIâm going to check on Theo. Come see us when youâre done?â
She nodded, taking a sip that she swished around for a solid minute while analyzing Agreste.
âCouldnât you have just been nice to them? And now your date is antagonizing her, donât you think someone will get akumatized with someone like him hanging around?â
Now that took her by surprise. She arched a brow. âSomeone like him?â
He hesitated, glancing at Felix. âItâs just that, Iâve worked with him before. Heâs not the nicest of people. Itâs that why youâve been acting like this lately, because of him?â
âLike what? The opposite of a pushover?â
âNo,â he said harshly. âThe opposite of our everyday Ladybug.â
She glowered at him. For Kwamiâs sake, sheâd been trying to separate Adrien from Chat but the longer she looked, the more they just bled together. âYou know what Adrien; I canât have this conversation anymore. If you really care so much about Lilaâs feelings and keeping this façade of peace, then you be class rep, you be their pretty, thoughtful, and talented friend who can always lend a hand no matter the massive inconvenience.â
âYou know I canât do that.â
âThen understand that I canât either. Iâve already said no, I know itâs hard for you to understand, but you really should try. No one likes a bad listener.â
She turned on her kitten heels and headed for the girlsâ locker room where Tikki and Plagg who had been hiding in her purse, came out to comfort her.
âHey, donât worry kid, youâre doing great. I wasnât actually expecting him to come though.â
        âMe neither,â she said softly.
âWe can leave early, before that Cheshire of yours really does cause an akuma,â Tikki suggested.
The kwami had wanted to dress up tonight too, so Plagg had a tiny bowtie and Tikki wore a ribbon as a shawl.
âAll the more reason to stay and keep an eye out. We can catch it before it has time to ruin the dance. Besides, I helped plan this, I want to enjoy it. Itâs the last one.â
They nodded, ducking back into her purse when the door opened.
âMarinette, your boyfriendâs fighting Kim,â called Mireille.
âKimâs losing,â called Aurore. âDo you think I could put this on the blog, highlights section?â
She laughed, meeting them in the doorway, âThat would defeat the point of him coming here in secret. But I would love a copy of the videos.â
        âYou got it.â
        âShould someone break them up?â
âThey are no longer my responsibility.â
Although, it would be great if Felix could keep his suit from getting ripped, they were supposed to debut it that weekend.
Was getting frustrated with my actual project, so I let my muses off the leash and I kinda regret it.
A little background on wtf is going on in this AU, other then chaos and bad art. I went with the idea that Felix is interested in following what he assumes to be his uncleâs path (not the villainy, the fashion) and prefers to design in mens fashion. On the model side, heâs done it, and it doesnât really appeal to him; itâs a family obligation at this point.
Marinette would obviously catch his attention, being closer in age, and seeming to prefer womens fashion. This would obviously mean she is a great compliment to his style; just imagine the waves they would make as partners in the future (it helps he does find her very cute looks wise). He finds her sass endearing, her opinions rational, and it is very fun to tease her, though he could live without her obvious crush on his cousin, it makes her look stupid.
On the case of Lila, he doesnât like her, because she tried to suck up to him, and he can smell the shallowness and objectifying from a mile away. âŠhis opinion if her it just got worse from there
In another part of paris, Alya feels both her ship being shot at and irked she missed a great chance for goodnatured blackmail and Kagami nearly killed someone because for some reason she is annoyed at the Agreste clan?
Marinette Changes Schools: A funny little Lila salt prompt
So, there are a lot of âMarinette changes schoolsâ auâs and I love a whole bunch of them donât get me wrong. BUT the one thing I havenât seen yet is Marinette changing schools not because of Lila or salt but simply because her parents are moving and they want her to attend a school close to home. So without further ado let me sell you on my little idea:Â
Lila has been plotting weeks worth of plans and lies, sheâs thought up some sob stories about being stalked, about near death experiences, about celebrities that are like her family. She has plans for Marinette all the ways she could make the girl look bad and all the ways she could force Adrien to see her. That all goes out the window one day when she gets to school and itâs a sob fest. There is a clear air of dread and dismay, the blue skies she saw on the way to school replaced with heavy storm clouds. And when she gets to class itâs worse. Marinette and Alya are hugging and crying, Adrien looks like heâs been shot, Nino and Kim are demanding to know âwhyâ even Chloe looks upset, her blue eyes a little glassy. Lila quickly learns why, Marinetteâs parentsâ business is doing GREAT so great in fact that they have decided to open a second location! The twist? They also decided to move INTO the new location and with it being on the other side of Paris and her parents fears for their daughters safety that means Marinette is moving to a new school!

I was suppose to post this tomorrow but I canât wait :O
so I was thinking about what if their personalities are the opposite of themeselves?
What if Marinette was more of a serious person and perfect at everything?? sheâll never made a mistake and have always been mature?
while adrien is the shy, nervous and clumsy type of person??:)))))

It had not been a good week for Marinette. Ever since Lila had come back and began to spread her lies, Mari had become more and more isolated from her class. Sure, she had Felix to talk to outside of school but the constant glares and whispering were starting to get to her. She didnât know how much longer she could sit back and ignore Lilaâs lies despite what sheâd promised Adrien. They were starting to affect people, case in point being how Marinette had gotten a call from Manon in tears; apparently she had met Lila and fallen victim to her honeyed lies. Lila promised Mrs. Chamack to be Manonâs new babysitter and take her to a show opening, only for Manon to be left waiting for an hour at school, ending with her calling Marinette crying after no one picked her up and her mom too busy to answer. It was tough to listen to Manonâs sobs on the phone but Marinette was able to calm her down after a while, rushing to pick her up and watched her for the day. Despite the trouble with the toddler being dealt with, Marinette had a looming sense of despair afterwards that made her feel like something bad was about to coming.
The next day, as Marinette made her way to school, a box of sweets for the class in hand. When she entered the building she began to hear whispers. Nothing new, really, but they didnât inspire confidence in her weary heart. As she walked to the classroom she could clearly make out her classmatesâ voices, causing her to pause.
âI canât believe Marinette would do something like that!â Alyaâs voice rang out in shock.
âYeah, she did. She told me that Iâm horrible, that I should justâ,â the sentence was interrupted by some theatrical sniffling, ââ just kill myself. And she- she said you wouldnât believe me because you were all so stupid,â Lila said through her crocodile tears. âOut of all her words, it was what she said about you guys that really hurt. Iâm used to being the target of her tormenting but the idea that anyone would say such horrible things about all of my friends?â the liar continued with painfully fake distress. Marinette rolled her eyes. As if anyone would buy into this bullshit. âIt was just too much for me to handle!â Ah, so thatâs the end of it at least. Although right around now thereâs usually⊠She heard Lila break down into a fit of false sobs, an attempt to get everyone to come comfort her. Yup, right on cue, Mari thought dryly.
She was about to walk in and ignore the drama of the day when an unexpected declaration echoed through the class. âWell thatâs not cool, we need to punish on her!â a male voice declared first from in the classroom. To her shock, many other students mumbled their agreement. But it wasnât those words that finally brought her down. Rather, it was the lack of any other words. Realizing that of all the friends sheâd stood by and supported over the years not a single one spoke in her defense, that was the knowledge that broke her. Mari felt the tears begin to spill down her cheeks.
âWell I found her sketchbook, maybe we could send her a message through itâ Lila suggested innocently, her voice immediately losing the crying tone itâd maintained. Oh, no⊠Marinette dropped the pastries she was holding in a sudden panic and rummaged through her book bag. The panic tightened its grip as she realized that, for once, the liar may be telling the truth. Her sketchbookâ it wasnât there. As her world froze, she could hear the class going to town with her journal. She heard it all. The ripping of binding, the tearing of pages, the insults⊠She didnât know what to do, so she just stood by the door in a broken trance until it was finally flung open by Alya as she threw out the destroyed book, the book smacking into Marinettes chest, but she didnât react. Her friend- well, former friend she supposed, was shocked to see her but fury replaced confusion in an instant. With friends like these, who needs enemies? Alya turned to Marinette with a harsh glare and righteous indignation burning in her eyes, but it faltered when she saw the tears flooding her bluebell eyes, the pastries all over the floor, and the look of utter betrayal fixed on Mariâs face.
Alya didnât even get a word in before Marinette let out a choked sob and ran away, leaving behind the stunned girl.
âAlya, whatâs upâ Nino asked in confusion as he watched how his girlfriend stood frozen.
âI think⊠I think we went too far,â Alya whispered.
As Marinette ran out the school building she crashed into a familiar blond boy. Sadly, it wasnât the blond boy she was looking for.
âMarinette? What happened?â Adrien asked with genuine concern, trying to reach over to comfort the girl. Hell must have finally frozen over that day because Marinette Dupain-Cheng actually flinched away from Adrien Agreste. Â
âThis is all your fault,â Marinette hissed out through her clenched teeth and tears. Adrien took a step back like he had been slapped. âYou think she isnât doing any harm?! That no one is getting hurt?! Well, I feel pretty hurt!! She turned everyone against me. Just like she said she would. And I stood back and let her rope them in because you said it wouldnât matter as long as we were in it together. But we werenât! you stood back and stayed silent, I dealt with the punishment! And now everyone hates me, and you get to keep your distance just like you have been from the start!â Marinette yelled before ending with painful weeping. Adrien tried his best to comfort his friend once more, gently reaching out for her.
âNo!â Marinette snapped glaring daggers before running off to god knows where. Adrien just sighed and shook his head. Though he truly didnât want to, he had a feeling he might have to fight Marinette today. But before he could go after her he needed to find out exactly what it was that made her so upset. Adrien walked towards the school with a newfound determination in his eyes.
-
Marinette ran to the nearest park. The tears made it hard to see but she didnât care. She looked for someone, anyone she knew and that would be willing to listen. She just needed to talk to someone - talking would help. She fervently tapped on her phone, texting the blond she would have preferred to run into to meet her in the park. It didnât take long for him to appear. He looked around in a panic until his eyes finally fell on his friend.
âMarinette?!!â Felix cried, shocked. The shaking girl dropped her bag and collapsed into his steady arms. In all the time he had known the girl, she had never cried like this. She was always one with bright eyes and neverending hope, but today there was nothing but emptiness in her eyes.
âI canât do this!! I canât do it anymore!! They hate me! They all hate me, after everything I did for them!! I canât live like this!â Marinette cried into the boys chest, his arms wrapping tightly around her. Felix took a moment to process the information before pulling back from Mari and giving her some room. He then took one of Marinetteâs ribbons, that had come loose at some point during her breakdown, and tied it around their hands, connecting them. Marinette stared in confusion through watery eyes.
âItâs ok. Iâm here,â Felix said in a soft voice giving her hand a squeeze. âIâm here,â he repeated as he pulled her back into a hug. The ribbon was a reassurance for his friend, something to ground her to him. She found herself melting into his embrace and with a shaky breath, Marinette began telling him what happened, the betrayal she had felt, the worthlessness that consumed her. With every word Marinette spoke, she felt slightly more at peace with her situation. With every word Marinette spoke, Felix felt increasingly more angry on her behalf.
âDonât listen to them. Theyâre idiots that canât see whatâs good even when itâs right in front of them. Donât worry Karma will come around to them,â Felix said to comfort the girl, but it did nothing but fuel his own anger. If he could go over there, if he could just have 10 minutes alone with that class, he would make them suffer.
He would make them know true pain for what theyâve done to Marinette, his light in the dark.
Both teens were so distracted by their feelings that they failed to notice the black butterfly that flew purposefully towards them. It seemed to hesitate however, like the negative emotions from these two were just too dangerous. Whoever was controlling the little butterfly didnât seem to care about the risk though and it was soon forced to land on the ribbon that kept them connected. When it hit, both teens seemed to relax, as if being shut down. Little did Hawkmoth know a certain red Kawmi snatched up a pair of earrings and got herself far away alway before the akuma hit.
âHello, Karma. I am Hawkmoth. I will give you the power to bring punishment to those who deserve it, and mercy to those who do not and all I asked for in return is the Ladybug and Chat Noir Miraculous. Do we have a deal?â The voice in their head asked.
The voice sounded very familiar to both Felix and Marinette⊠However, Felix was already thinking ten steps ahead. And he knew exactly how he would win.
Felix and Marinette looked forward, eyes filled with tears and rage.
âYes, Hawkmoth.â
â
Adrien stomped into his classroom, his eyes held fierce flames of judgement. He noticed as he came in that the class had the gall to look proud save for Alya, who looked worriedly at the door. Everyone else held their head so fucking high that it made Adrien want to puke. Or scream. Or both. The worst was Lila; she had such a smug smirk that she looked like the cat that ate the canary.
âWhat the hell did you guys do?â Adrien snarled, his words like venom. Despite his tone, Lila was undeterred and expertly began her tearful routine.
âOh Adrien, itâs horrible. Marinette texted me last night. She called me horrible names, and told me to kill myself. Can you believe it?â Lila asked with fresh tears trailing down her face. Most of the class looked angry on Lilaâs behalf upon hearing the accusation again, but Alya just ducked her head.
âActually, no. I canât believe it. Because Marinetteâs phone has been broken for the past week and she only just got it back this morning,â Adrien snapped and the class froze at his words. Lila looked like a deer caught in headlights as she tried to find a way to back up her lie. However, Adrien didnât let her follow her devious train of thought.
âYou came here with your lies and I let it go because I thought you would improve!! Â But instead youâve driven away Marinette! Our everyday Ladybug! Do you have any idea what will happen if she gets akumatized?!â Adrien asked and fear laced the last sentence. Marinette was the smartest of the students and the only one who could think like Ladybug. She would be an enemy who could go against Ladybug and have a real shot at winning. It scared Adrien. In truth, it scared them all when they actually stopped and thought about it.
âDude, is that true?â Nino asked for the rest of the class. If what Adrien said was true, it means they had hurt their everyday Ladybug, their friend, for no reason. God, what had they done.
âYes. Letâs hope Chat Noir and Ladybug find her fast,â Adrien commented before the teacher came in forcing and forced them to sit down. Clearly, Chat Noir wouldnât be doing any finding any time soon. The class shared a feeling of hopelessness as they prepared to see their once-friend made into an akuma. Adrien waited impatiently until he had a chance to get away to transform.
Please be alright Marinette, he pleaded quietly, âIâll be there soonâ.

Two figures walked into the hospital. It was very clear they were both akumas. Their skin was a gray color; the girl with dark hair wore black while the guy with white hair wore white. The girl seem to have white as an accenting color, seeing how her dress had white embroiled flowers on it. The guy had the same on his white shirt but with black flowers instead. Both of their outfits seemed to have Chinese roots. And If one had anything, no matter how small, the other had the same thing but flipped and in the opposite color. The only color on the two was their eyes, the girl had piercing red while the boy had soft green; nether comforted the poor staff.
Many of the hospital workers froze. While sometimes akuma affected them indirectly (like flooding the city), they had never had one enter the hospital. Most just stared at the two, though one nurse was smart enough to make a post about it on the Ladyblog. One of doctorâs starring at them had, his attention was pulled away from the akumas by a little girl grabbing his arm.
âWhy couldnât you save him?!â the brown-haired girl screamed out through tears catching everyoneâs attention - even that of the akumas. The doctor tried to shush the girl, who didnât realized they were in danger. She ignored him, gesturing to an open room where an old man lay on a bed, the heart monitor was a flat line. âWhy didnât you save him?! He didnât do anything!! Why couldnât you save him?â
The akumas looked over at the commotion, empathizing with the girl full of sadness in her heart. The girl was right, the man didnât deserve to die. He was a good father who tried to help everyone. He had just been at the wrong place at the wrong time, taking his daughter to school only to be hit by another driver. The black-headed girl brought up her hand, causing the nurses to moved away from the akuma, expecting something bad to happen.
But nothing bad did.
Instead, the girl moved her hand forward, and in that moment the old man who had been dead moments ago took in a big gasp and the heart monitor sputtered to life. This immediately got the crying girls attention and the doctorâs, who both ran into the room to check on the once dead man. The nurses looked at the akuma in shock. This akuma didnât try and attack anyone, it didnât try to hurt anyone at all. Just the opposite in fact - they had saved a life, they resurrected the dead.
The two akumas smiled at each other, a message passing without words. The blond boy started to pull the black girls hand to move her through the hospital. As they walked none of the nurses tried to stop them. After all, what harm would they do? It seemed that everyone who was in the hospital because of an accidents or just down on their luck was visited by the akuma. The black-haired girl waved, smiled and gave small gestures to the patients. Every patient that the black-haired girl visited was cured. Cancer cured, bones mended, and sickness gone. Everyone visited was healed.
Except for one.
The man was on a bed, cuffed, cussing up a storm. He was a drunk driver, and the one who had killed the previously mentioned old man in a car wreck, but he didnât care. Even after sobering, he yelled, screamed and cussed the doctors out, believing he had done nothing wrong. The white-haired boy glared at the man. He could see everything vile the man ever did. He didnât care for what he had done; he had taken many lives with his drunk driving, had his license revoked, but he didnât care. The boy just glared at the thrashing man on the bed and then silently brought his hand up to his chest, holding it a few inches from his heart. The boy made a gesture like someone gripping something. At that moment, the man stopped like someone had just clutched his heart. The drunkâs heart monitor was going wild, going in every direction. The nurse quickly ran into the manâs room to try and save his life, but his heart monitor stopped, maintainingd a steady flat line. As the nurse tried to resurrect the dead man, the white-haired boy walked away with a smile.
This was Karmaâs wrath.
And Karmaâs wrath was about to hit two different areas: the final destination was Hawkmoth, but first they had to make a stop at a school full of stupid teenagers.
â
Hawkmoth was panicking, he was really past the point of panicking; his house had been shut down like it was under the threat of an akuma. Because it was. Hawkmoth couldnât really control the akuma, the two vastly different emotions during akumatization made it much more difficult to control than he expected. He thought they would be a normal akuma trying to get their revenge before having to be reminded to get Ladybug and Chat Noirâs Miraculous. It wasnât until the akuma split up after the hospital that he peered into the boys thoughts, wondering what he was planning. He had figured they would start to go after the miraculous but no that wasnât the case.
âGet out of our head Gabriel. Weâre coming for you. Karma is coming for youâ the boy thought before Gabriel was complete shut out of his mind. The male, who he discovered was his nephew Felix, had so much anger behind the thought that he didnât dare take it lightly. He tried to call back the akuma, tried to take away their power; but it couldnât be done. The akuma had somehow secured their power. Noroo always warned him that abusing the miraculous would be his downfall; he just didnât think it would be like this. Gabriel order his workers to guard every entrance while he paced back and forth. He was thinking about how to stop this, how to get the akuma back.
How could he stop Karma?
Oh Gabriel, Karma gets everyone eventually
He didnât get long to think about it before his doors were thrown open. He looked at what was thrown at the door, however it wasnât an object that was thrown at the door, it was a person. It was Natalie but right now she was Mayura, but she didnât look like the terrifying villainess that portrayed herself as. She was curled up around a bar that went straight through her, going in her stomach and out her back. She whimpers out softly trying to hold the bar, as if it would stop her pain.
âNatalie!â Gabriel yelled out in shock. How could the akuma do this?
âI warned you, you would suffer Karma if you stood in the wayâ Felix-no Iâm sorry, Karma said shaking his head, like that you would at a small misbehaving child. Karma then looked at Gabriel with his soft green eyes, but they didnât offer any comfort. Gabriel took a step back when Karma took a step forward.
âGabriel Agreste. You have committed so many atrocities, you will face Karmaâs wrathâ Karma said in a stern voice making Gabriel shake, however he tried to hid his fear.
âIâm just trying to save my wife!â Gabriel argued.
âThat doesnât matter. You caused so much grief for people, so much suffering, ; you will get what you deserveâ Â Karma informed with a dead expression, not breaking eye contact he kicked a box towards Gabriel that knocked into something.
âThen Iâll fight you!â Gabriel yelled holding out a cane as a weapon.
âThatâs your choiceâ Karma informed. What Hawkmoth didnât realized was that the box caused a chain reaction, it hit other stuff, knocked stuff down, let loose a wire. A wire swept down in a flash, around neck height.
The wire severed Hawkmoths head from his body.

Adrien kept tapping his foot, not paying attention to anything his teacher had said. He was worried, really worried about Marinette; he would have transformed and gone to check on her but class started before he got the chance. Some of the class seemed sad, thinking about what they had done while others just looked normal. They didnât care about what happened, they didnât care about their friend.
It made him sick.
âGod why does my arm keep itchingâ Adrien thought as he rolled up the sleeve to scratch at it. It didnât take long before he felt pain, a stabbing pain in his arm. Adrien let a scream causing eyes to be turned on to him; red began to spread on of his arm. As it kept going down his arms he could see, a word? Whatever is doing this is carving a word into him. It wasnât until the word was complete that he knew who it was.
âCowardâ
âOh god Marinette did this to meâ he thought through tears. He heard Nino scream in pain before he decided to run out. He needed to find a place to transform, to save his friend, to say he was sorry.
-
The girl Karma just finished her work on the little Nino doll, words freshly carved in; if she closed her eyes she was in the classroom. She could hear their panic, feel their terror. Karma let out a heavy sigh, she wasnât made to punish others, that was her other halfs job; however he was going after Hawkmoth so there wasnât much she could do. She looked down at the doll and it had lost all of its features, appearing to be that of a voodoo doll. Karma took a deep breath before imagining a friend, well a former friend. As her anger built up the doll took the shape of that friend, Alya. Karma just glared down at the doll; needle in hand, ready to make them pay. However she kept hesitating, as it wasnât in her nature to hurt people.
âRemember they hurt youâ her other half said in her head, as if some kind of twisted encouragement. She nodded to herself feeling his rage; if he could talk he must have finished his job.
Karma began to work on the Alya doll, as she was carving the word âtraitorâ into the dolls stomach she heard something close by. It was the sound of feet hitting the ground.
âMarinette please donât do thisâ Chat Noir cried out as he moved towards the sitting akuma. Karma just shook her head, she could feel the boyâs worry but it was too late now.
âGo away Chat. I donât want to have to hurt youâ Karma said taking a moment to stop carving.
âI donât ether. Please just give me the akuma so Ladybug and I can fix itâ Chat said holding out his hand, asking for the object. Marinette let out a chuckle, not an evil one, but a sad one. Chat faltered after as he heard the broken sound.
âLadybug isnât comingâ Marinette said.
âWhat?â
âLadybug isnât coming Chatton. Please go away before I have to hurt youâ Marinette pleaded with the hero. He paused for a minute before reaching forward, as if to grab the object. However before he got close enough an object came flying out of nowhere knocking the poor hero back. Her other half appeared by her and just stared at her.
âYou ok?â He asked, his voice sounded like a twisted mix of Marinette and Felixâs, just as hers had.
âYes, Iâm dealing with the class. Could you distract the kitty?â Karma asked and with a simple nod her other half was off to deal with the hero. She quickly gave him a mental note of to not hurt Chat Noir; after all he had came to check on her and didnât try to attack. Karma then turned her attention to the doll, quickly finishing her carving. Every bit of pain Marinette had felt was transferred to the doll. However she saved most of her anger for one person in particular. She closed her eyes and let out all her anger, every nasty thought she had ever had. When she open them again the doll looked like Lila, the girl that made Marinetteâs life a living hell. She brought the needle down on the doll, carving the same word over and over again.

Chat wasnât having a good time fighting the boy. It seemed everything he tried to do to stop him was countered and he couldnât land a hit. The worse part was he wasnât feeling any of it; it was like the akuma was taunting him, like they were playing cat and mouse. Chat felt like the mouse at this point. He tried everything to get back to Marinette but the other was having none of it. He felt like he was fighting for ages before he saw Marinette walked up. Chat grimaced at this he would have to fight two akumas on his own, God where was Ladybug?
Marinette however didnât do anything other than go over to the boy, she put a hand on his arm which made him drop his fight pose. They looked at each other before Marinette shook her head no. They started to reach into their pockets, Chat was still on guard though, he didnât trust them. The akuma held out their hands together and opened them, letting Chat take a peek.
It was the butterfly and peacock miraculous.
âWhat?-How?â Chat started confuse.
âAnd the ribbon as well. Thatâs where the akuma isâ Karma states together earning a shock look from Chat.
âWhy?â was all Chat could ask.
âWe know you know the guardian and he can fix this messâ They offered. Chat stood there in silence for a minute before grabbing the objects and running off. He left Karma behind.
âIâm going to miss thisâ Felix confessed to the girl.
âI will to, but itâs the right thing to doâ Marinette said as they sat down on a bench waiting for the Miraculous cure to happen. They loved the feeling of being so close, of being together; but they had to separate, itâs what Karma would do.

âMasterâ Chat said flying into the Chinese shop. Any words he had thought up vanished when he saw Ladybugâs Kwami, floating close by Fu with sad eyes.
âSo Ladybug wouldnât help?â Chat asked confused. He didnât understand, why would Ladybug give up her earrings especially with such a dangerous akuma.
âChat NoirâŠâŠThe akuma is Ladybugâ Fu said, and causing Adriens world to shatter. Ladybug is Marinette, Marinette is Ladybug, he let down Ladybug. Despite his state he handed over the miraculous and the akuma, Fu tried to question him but he wasnât paying attention, he was numb. He caused his Lady to get akumatized, he let down his friend.
After a few minutes of talking from Tikki, she finally convinces him to power down and put on the earrings. Paris needed the miraculous cure and he was the only one they could trust. He powered down before putting on the earrings and saying the magic words.
âTikki, spots on!â
After the transformation finished he looked over at the black and white ribbon, the proof that he messed up. He quickly tore it and caught the akuma before shouting the words.
âMiraculous Ladybugâ
Everything would go back to normal. They now have the butterfly miraculous, everything would be ok right?
The stinging on his arm said otherwise.

Me wondering wtf a âheat wavesâ is and why it interrupted my reading.
Anyway if you ship gay/slash/âââ"yaoiââââ pairings then you better fucking support LGBTQIA+ rights and see them as more than overly sexualized couples and as REAL COUPLES LIKE THE HETS LIKE ITâS NOT THAT HARD
And that concludes todayâs PSA
Edit : after a lot of messages of people saying that gay shippers are mostly LGBTQIA+ themselves, I must clarify that Iâm talking about straight people who fetishises LGBTQIA+ characters/relationships and proceeds to get grossed out when seeing irl examples and rights discussions.
