Ant-Man and the Wasp: Marvel’s first Avengers and Superhero couple

Ant-Man and the Wasp are two of Marvels original Avengers and superhero couple. In the movies however there identity’s are a bit different compared to there comic book counterparts. In the comics Ant-Man is Hank Pym which as we know from the movie is played by a much older Michael Douglas having been the first Ant-man in his younger years. Wasp was his wife Janet Van Dyne who is the original Wasp from the comics but has yet to cast in the movie. Possible rumours have spread that Michelle Pfeifer could possibly play the original Wasp. The Wasp we are going to see is played by Evangeline Lily and her character is the child of Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne named Hope Van Dyne. in the comics Hope is there love child and does become the Wasp after the unfortunate death of her mother. Ant-Man however is played by Paul Rudd and his character’s name is Scott Lang who in the comics is the second Ant-Man. The first Ant-Man movie showed Rudd’s and Lily’s characters love starting to build, and i think it will be interesting to see the sacrifices they make for one another when the sequel comes out.

Gardians of the Galaxy 2

Fist off a little bit of info if you haven’t seen the first Guardians of the Galaxy. A group of unlikely hero’s who are all actually criminals team up to help save the Galaxy from destruction! So now that your all caught up the first movie was a big hit, but can we say the same for the second one? With it releasing around this time next year there’s still a lot of rumours and speculations flying around. For instance, the the rumors of who’s going to play Peter Quill’s father, Quill who’s played by Chris Pratt are huge right now with Sylvester Stallone being the front runner. Is it possible they throw us a curve ball and cast someone completely different? I personally like the thought of Stallone playing Quills father, if he does the same job as he did in creed its all right by me. Defiantly another huge topic that’s coming into question is Groot. (Spoiler Alert Ahead) At the end of the last movie we see Groot in plant form which makes me wonder what will see him as? Will he still be in plant form? Maybe a smaller version of Groot or will he be back to full size? These are all thing still being speculated by Marvel fans. One thing I’m looking forward to is the music, with lasts years’ soundtrack being outstanding I can’t wait to hear what’s in store!

Who is Captain Marvel?

Captain Marvel is an alien military officer from the Kree imperial empire. Marvel is sent to earth to teach the humans to not mess with them. After being on earth for sometime, Marvel begins to have sympathy for the human and even protects them from a Kree robot named “Sentry”. After this action, Captain Marvel is deemed a traitor by his people but a hero among the humans. He is banished from his planet and basically must live on earth. He now protects earth. In the earlier comics, Captain Marvel was a man, but in recent issues the character is now a female and the movie will be based around a female Captain Marvel.

Who is Doctor Strange?

Some of you may not know who Doctor Strange is. Well, he is the Sorcerer Supreme or basically a super hero in the marvel universe. Doctor Strange practices black magic which gives him a whole list of powers such as the ability to heal, to teleport, he has telepathy etc. He wasn’t always the almighty sorcerer, before he was a neurosurgeon named Stephen Strange , a selfish person who cared about no one but himself. Then one night he got into a car accident, it was at the moment he then realized the pain he had caused others. He traveled to the Himalayas to search for this Chinese wizard known as “the Ancient One”. The Ancient one taught strange the ways of black magic. Strange went on to become the protector of earth against magical and mythical threats.

Civil War

For those of you who don't know, Civil War started over the debate of super hero registration. Tony Stark (Iron Man) wants heroes to be registered so they can be held responsible for their actions. Captain America on the other hand thinks that heroes shouldn't be registered, as it gives up their right to choose. Mark Millar originally wrote Civil War for the comic book, but Christopher Markus and Stephen Mcfeely wrote the movie. We see many returning cast as well as the directors Anthony and Joe Russo but we also get to meet new members of the avengers: Ant-Man, Black Panther, and Spider-Man! This is defiantly the most anticipated movie of the year at least for me, with the all-star cast and great directors behind it, it sure is going to be one heck of a movie.

Black Panther: The World’s First Black Superhero.

In 2018 we are going to witness the world’s first black superhero, which says a lot of how far we have come. Since the civil rights movement of the 60′s black culture has come along way and it will be making a even bigger step with Black Panther. As most of you probably do not know, Black Panther you would imagine is not an african american. He is from an imaginary Marvel African country named Wakanda. This society is so fascinating because they are not like most African countries in the world we live. when we hear about african cities we mostly think they are third world cities. Marvel, however has created a african city that is so technologically advanced in terms of its science, technology and society. there technology surpasses our own but quite a bit but its culture is still very African, but more so in the sense of the tribal societies that inhabit Africa today. The Black Panther is the leader and king of Wakanda and his name is T’Challa. He inherited the country from his father who was the previous king, and tragically died at the hands of a formidable foe. what i really enjoy about T’Challa is that he is a complicated character, being almost brutal against his foes but also a kind man and has hopes of a better tomorrow. The director of the film is Ryan Coogler who just garnered success with Creed. I think Ryan will make Black Panther his own as he is writing it with Joe Robert Cole. Joe Robert Cole is a writer known for writing American Crime Story:The People Vs. OJ Simpson. which has garnered some critical acclaim amongst critics and audiences alike. So far the movie has just cast Black Panther himself who will be played by Chadwick Boseman, who will make his Marvel debut in Captain America: Civil War out next month. I don’t know about you but i am very excited for this movie and have complete faith Ryan Coogler will blow our minds.
