Starting off 2018 with a hike to Lost Pond and Shark's Hole! We didn't see any sharks, but we saw some latte stone remains and some neat critters. (at Tanguisson Beach)

Jane (@flyingcrowbar) tagged me to… do something? I have been on this website for like two goddamn years and I still don’t know how to reblog something. I honestly don’t even know what I was supposed to do… so you get selfies.

Numero uno, an actual nice picture of my face. I just finished taking a new passport photo so I actually look like a human woman today. (Government says you can’t edit your passport photo… FIGHT ME, FEDS.)

Next up: my kombucha. This is my first batch. Frankly I don’t even like kombucha but I’m basically on medical leave right now and bored out of my skull. In a showing of optimism, I have named my scoby John Murphy, because while he is disgusting right now, I hope he’ll shape up into something palatable in the near future.

Picture #3: remember how I said I was bored out of my skull? I made these ridiculously healthy bloob muffins. This batch turned out much better than the last… no matter what those stupid pinterest people tell you, there IS such a thing as too much flaxseed.

Quatro was an accident picture. Deal with it.

Photo #5 features my favorite wine, which (as you may be able to tell) I’ve had a fair bit of tonight. This is bottle number two. I love you, wine.

BOOK OF TEA!!!  I have approximately 5 bajillion miscellaneous tea bags that could definitely use a home.  And it would look SO CUTE on my desk at work, right where I need it (because tea is the only way to get through all the crap I endure daily at my workplace haha!).  Name your price lady!

Pumpkin pie pudding cups with cool whip and spiced rum, topped with whipped cream, caramel, and freshly-grated nutmeg. I think I ate six? Recipe-shmecipe who needs 'em anyway. I honestly just wanted to use those cute tiny bowls and the flan-flavored pudding mix that's been in my cupboard for months. Yummmmmy.

Well I don’t understand tumblr and why I can’t respond to this directly--wtf tumblr--but round these parts, the sun gets up at 6am sharp and sets at 6pm sharp.  All year long.  I miss the sun being around till 10pm in the summer!  Although it’s so hot here that if the sun was around that long we’d all probably die...
