so i posted about this briefly with that dress up game post but mizu ends up cutting her hair after being transferred to the future/(post) kh3 timeline. the reason being is a lot of her identity has been tied to her hair. it’s been long & beautiful all her life & a lot of people associate her with it. after recovering her memories of the keyblade war & leaving the age of fairytales she chops her hair off completely as she doesn’t feel like she’s the same person she was anymore & doesn’t want to be tied to her image she had in the past.

rain inspired me to use a dress up game & show the difference between khx/khux timeline to her inevitable post kh3 timeline ( x )

      THERE’S  SOMETHING  ABOUT  HIM ,  this  mysterious  man  before  that  she  finds  incredibly  unsettling .  she  can  tell  he’s  not  of  this  world .  whether  it  be  the  odd  black  attire  he’s  donning  or  simply  just  his  overall  presence  ---  he  sticks  out  like  a  sore  thumb  despite  him  hanging  back  in  the  crowd  smiling .

      MIZU  DOESN’T  LIKE  HIS  SMILE .  it’s  completely  without  joy  or  warmth  she  thinks  &  holds  an  ominous  malice  that  chills  her  to  her  very  core .  she  doesn’t  know  him  &  yet  she  already  feels  so  inclined  to  mistrust  him .  she  doubts  anyone  smiling  in  such  a  malevolent  fashion  could  be  up  to  anything  good .  hence  her  ever  growing  suspicion  of  him .  

      SHE  FEELS  LIKE  SHE  SHOULD  acknowledge  his  presence .  after  all  he’s  looking  directly  at  her .  however  her  own  anxiousness  when  it  comes  to  interacting  with  strangers  in  general  let  alone  shady  ones  such  as  him  forbids  from  moving  any  closer .  he  triggers  her  fight  or  flight  instinct  &  if  mizu  is  feeling  honest  she’s  feeling  more  inclined  to  flee  at  this  moment .  

      INSTEAD  SHE  FROWNS ,  furrowing  her  brows  as  she  finally  faces  the  man  directly .  it  would  be  the  easy  (  &  more  preferable )  option  to  run  away .  but  she’s  supposed  to  be  a  hero  isn’t  she ?  she  can’t  very  well  save  the  world  if  she  can’t  even  face  a  creepy  man  who  looks  at  her  funny .  so  she  swallows  all  her  doubt  &  fear  &  speaks  up .  ❛    uh ,  hello  sir ?  is  there  something  you  need ?    ❜

    ❛   HUH ?  ---    ❜  the  exclamation  takes  the  girl  off  guard ,  jolting  in  fright  as  she  turns  to  see  the  grinning  boy  before  her .  she  takes  a  moment  to  process  what’s  happening  before  her  cheeks  flush  in  embarrassment .  he’s  not  the  first  one  to  compliment  her  hair  (  nor  will  he  likely  be  the  last  )  but  mizu  still  finds  herself  surprised  &  embarrassed  every  time  someone  mentions  it .  

      SELF  CONSCIOUSLY  she  begins  to  twist  her  long  hair  around  her  index  finger ,  too  shy  to  look  at  the  boy  directly .  ❛    um ,  thank  you .    ❜  she  pauses  furrowing  her  brows  before  finally  meeting  his  eyes .  ❛    what  did  you  say  your  name  was  again ?    ❜

“I’m plenty quiet…”  She’s pouting, looking equal parts mopey and crestfallen.  Her cheeks puff out and then deflate; Hana’s voice lowers to a whisper.  She doesn’t wanna get caught any more than Mizu does.  “Sorry…”

      HER  FACE  FALLS  at  her  friend’s  disheartened  response .  mizuki  hadn’t  intended  to  hurt  the  other’s  feelings .  she  just  really  wants  this  plan  to  go  well .  there’s  so  much  hindering  on  this .  ❛    hana  ---    ❜  she  starts ,  regretful  eyes  on  the  ground  between  them .  ❛    i’m  sorry  for  snapping  at  you .  you’re  doing  fine  i  promise .    ❜

i forgot to put this in my bio for her but when the heartless first start appearing mizu ends up discovering the heartless of her parents in the attic of their home. at this point she doesn’t understand what in fact are heartless but she has a job to do so she unknowingly destroys the last remainder of her parents. 

it’s not until a long while later that she truly understands what happened. when she does she breaks down & truly doesn’t recover after that.
