This is a one-take I did of Sleep Token's Missing Limbs, the closer of This Place Will Become Your Tomb. It's not perfect, but I've been itching to do a cover for so long now that I just had to throw something out there. Hence the one take (with exception to one line I re-recorded because I said "the battles rain on blessings in the heaven's arms")

the only effects on my voice are some reverb and audacity's default compression. no pitch correction (and boy can you tell in a few spots). It sounds especially rough at the start but I get more confident as things go on (and thus my pitch gets better)

looking for animal references on image searches has always kind of sucked but it's much worse after AI image generation technology has begun to actually past muster, which is why i always just go straight to inaturalist. can't recommend this highly enough. you get to both find out about niche species you've never even heard of and also see some really good photographs like this one
