The romanticism of undressing someone and seeing their curves and edges and birthmarks and scars and moles and freckles and kissing every single one of them like you’re thanking their body for existing, for choosing to be seen by you.
Waiting on You
Patience is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit, yet it is often one of the hardest to practice. Waiting does not come naturally to us—especially when we are holding onto a promise from God or seeking direction for our lives. Still, we are called to trust and to wait. We are meant to bear this fruit, even in seasons of uncertainty. Many of us are waiting on something God has promised or seeking clarity on what to do next. My prayer is that this next poem encourages you to be still, to wait with faith, and to hold on tightly to Him.
Waiting on You
I am so lost right now, unsure of what to do.
Yet even in this darkness, I know You’re calling me to You.
I don’t know where I’m going or where I’m meant to stand
But You are still the Potter, and my life is in Your hands.
I know I am supposed to do the great commission
But how do I carry out this mission?
I open the Word, yet all I see are empty pages
Instead of You, demons visit me, as I go through these silent phases
But still I cry, Holy Spirit, speak! Let Your fire fall anew
For every voice of darkness flees at just one word from You.
I feel like Abraham, sent to an unknown land
Like Israel in the desert with no direction, no map within my hand.
Was leaving Egypt foolishness? Or was it Your design?
This waiting test my patience and the limits of my mind.
I’m singing through the tears I shed, still marching in these circles
Yet Jericho stands mocking me despite my faithful worship.
But walls don’t fall by striving — they collapse when You command
So, I will wait in trembling hope until You move Your hand.
Your silence is a furnace where my restless heart is stilled
But even in the waiting, You are shaping me to yield
So here I stand surrendered, though I tremble at Your will
Reveal to me Your purpose, Lord, while I remain still.

I really feel like tumblr’s fallen down on the job in not properly celebrating this very important holiday
For those who celebrate
"My childhood was so awesome. Kids today don't even know!"
Isn't a flex.
It's a lament.
More people should understand that.
When you try to talk about enshittification, it sounds like conspiracy theories. (I'm not crazy)
Amazon made their service worse, to force people to pay for Prime.
Nowadays, if you order from Amazon, there is a week long delay before your package is shipped. (on purpose)
I remember when orders would ship out the same day. (I remember - it was real)
YouTube didn't used to have ads. Now, ads play in the middle of videos. (it's worse than TV ever was)
The best can opener I have owned is over 40 years old. Modern ones just don't hold up as well. (The ones I bought new broke ages ago)
The bread machine my mom got for her wedding lasted 30 years. It's been replaced twice in the last 5 years. (How can you fuck this up?)
The cardboard tubes in the middle of toilet paper rolls have gotten larger. (This too?) Companies increasing the price of the product while selling you less. (REALLY?)
It sounds crazy. (it's the truth) When you talk about it, YOU sound crazy. (it's true)
Even when people believe you (do they really), all they can say is "it sucks". (it's too big) Because the problem is so big, so pervasive, what can we even DO about it???
To get the necessary laws written and passed, we need politicians, to get the politicians elected we need information campaigns, to fund campaigns we need money, and all the money is being hoarded by the people profiting from enshittification. (it sounds so fake)
So I talk about enshittification (it sounds crazy), so people don't forget that things have been made worse on purpose (it's true), even though I sound crazy. (maybe I am)
