in pokemon go there’s a pvp mode that gives you a pose if you reach the top rank that season. i have reached the top rank many times and have many top-rank poses but i’ve been struggling in recent seasons in what we refer to as “the pits,” the mid-range rating where it’s really difficult to break out and i’m like man. maybe i just don’t have the juice any more. but like yeah haven’t even been doing all my battles most days and i’m way less consistent with it because doing all 25 battles (and 50 on thursdays) takes a long time and it’s STRESSFUL if you’re trying to climb because if your rating goes down if you lose! aaaahhhh!! so i’ve only been doing a couple sets a day for the most part. it’s like i want to have my cake and eat it too, in terms of reaching the top rank and not having to try that hard but i’m straight up not good enough at this game to rank without trying. i love pokemon even when i am bad at it
