i deeply enjoy the difference in credits and music between daredevil and jessica jones.

daredevil is all red, seems soft to the touch, the silhouettes are defined, and the music is mostly piano. like, it is a reflection of matt’s personality at some degree. bc matt goes after justice dressed in a suit and tie. he is polite and quiet. his way of going after justice is, let’s say, fancy.

as opposed to jess’. in jessica jones the music gives off this vibe of it being an actual detective show. the graphics are distorted, there are more shadows, and then the guitars come along. it serves the same point as matt’s case: it reflects jess’ personality. jess goes around with a leather jacket and sarcasm. she goes after justice in a dirty way and her methods are questionable. she is unapologetic about her drinking and sharp wit.

while matt is a lawful good, jess is chaotic. and i love it.
