Better to keep it secret, she didn’t want to be labeled as some sort of enemy, and wasn’t sure if Eve would be that black and white about it, but didn’t want to risk it.

It took the avenger some time to try and think of how to phrase this, Eve might take this too literally or not fully understand and that misunderstanding could lead to really bad results.

“How do I say this? It’s more…uh…dangerous with me being here, with you being around me. It’s why I don’t stick with the party, why I just…do my thing…by myself. It’s hard to explain.”

It's not that she didn't want to talk to the girl, it's just that that pleasant interaction with Add had cause her emotions to somewhat rile up, and she could feel Shade on the edges of her thoughts.
