Chapter two is ALOT different
Basically, after the dark world is sealed in chapter one, kris finds themselves back in the real world (AKA: some random school) and grabs the lancer card and sneaks off to hide in the alleys around town, aswell as the woods. (They did stumble upon the bunker but... quickly left that alone)
And anyway when asriel and susie go back to the dark world and notice that after gathering the stuff from the abandoned classroom they are still missing lancer and kris begin to worry-
BUT similar to how ralsei in canon can sense dark worlds i think ♠️kris can too so they show up back in the castle town anyway
After the reunion kris decides to trust susie and asriel and goes with them back into the light world with lancer, rouxls, and starwalker in their inventory.
After they get out of the closet, asriel and susie head to the librarby for the study session planning to pass kris off as a new kid in town
When they get into the cyber world kris wanders offf farther than the others but not so much so that they can't see the others and vice versa
When noelle is kidnapped she kinda glances at kris but kinda ignores them similar to how she ignored ralsei in canon
When queen sees them though is when things REALLY start to change
Cause like queen suspects that a human will have far more determination than just any old lightner so she goes " oo actually look at that over there?" And everyone does and she cages kris too kidnapping them earlier than in the canon
Since kris has zero search history to go off of queen ends up just making them enter whatever into the computer, letting them walk around their room; while they do this they free lancer to "help" them escape (they had a similar idea to what lancer does but let the younger brother do it anyway)
While the brothers get out early susie and asriel manage to get through a bunch of mini games, eventually encountering berdly who asriel tries to reason with (haven't mentioned it but he is kinda a guidance councilor)
Exploring the mansion though kris manages to mess up the kitchen by leading mice into it causing a distraction
They and lancer make it to a dining room when it happens
Lancer coughs and mentions feeling cold, looking pale suddenly, kris panics instantly, I mean it's not often a darkner even gets sick let alone like this
After getting kidnapped themselves and escaping (due to starwalkers help)
Susie and asriel (and berdly) walk into the scene as lancer petrifies kris clinging to him and crying as they recall some old medical books in the card castle they had once read about other dark worlds and there effects on other darkners
Asriel tries to heal him but kris stops him, shaking as they explain why it happened and then beating themselves up over forgetting that could happen
It takes a few minutes of coaxing but the hero team (and berdly somehow) get kris to calm down, they push their little brother to a table and a bib and pasta fall from the ceiling
They laugh a little and mutter about him being taken care of for now
And with that they continue through the chapter though kris is quieter than before
When they make a plan for noelles rescue kris ends up with asriel and the two go through the acid river together in mostly silence until kris speaks up, they end up sharing their fears of losing lancer and not really knowing how to just be a lightner kid now that they aren't really a prince or anything
Suddenly they are abruptly stopped in the middle of asriel reassuring kris by bumping into a giant hand in the acid river
They then work together going through colorcoding houses to move the hand, after doing so they get back in the swan and then-
They run into rouxls kaard?? On a giant duck?
Kris checks their inventory and sure enough they must have dropped the card at some point
As they start the battle of coloring houses kris mentions lancer being unwell
RK pauses to give some advice before getting back into the battle
After kris and asriel win RK begins to power up an "ultimate move" and starts turning to stone, even though kris doesn't like the guy that much their still horrified to see it happen again, and so they drag the mostly stone RK and drag him onto the boat (it's a miracle the boat can still float)
OK OK IM GONNA TRY AND BE MORE GENERAL CAUSE THIS IS GETTING LONG!
Kris ends up in a box disguise aongside noelle, and claims to be be named... risk
Susie gets the plushie prize from noelle
Basically the team saves noelle and berdly (same as canon) but rouxles is able to distract the enemy with his weird accent not registering very well to queen
They finish fighting queen and when everyone starts agreeing that a dark fountains might be fine, kris gets so frustrated because it's like none of them know anything (they dont) and rants about the prophecy, this is the first time the full prophecy is ever uttered because in chapter one asriel and susie are mentioned to be destined heroes but never the full story cause kris didn't care to share it then
So the portal closes, noelle and berdly wake up, they question kris' presence but seem to buy the "new kid" story and both end up leaving
Kris is about to follow their lead when asriel stops them and insists they stay at his parents house with him, so they do aswell as susie (full hero sleepover)
Toriel ends up loving their company and contemplating adoption
what actually is the prophecy in this au? I’d imagine the ‘prince from the dark’ bit would need to be altered at least somewhat, but idk. Or since Kris would count as prince of the dark now, would the first and third hero be squished into one with the prophecy only having two heroes?
I wish i had sci fi regional temp controller thingamajigs, i want my hands hot and my arms mediocre and my back boiling and my legs cold and my feet warm and my head warm
im so screwed. My Chromebook’s been screwed since last year, since cracks had appeared on the case and the mousepad’s right clicking stopped working, but this year, now, WiFi cuts on and off every now and then, half the screws have fallen off, and as of yesterday, it has a max of 2% battery, and as of today, it’s started making very odd noises and is also not working at all. I feel like they could’ve at least tried getting it working right last summer. hhhhhhhhhh
something else that’s frustrating is that with the WiFi thing, I went to the tech person about it, but they just did the same trick I’d been doing to buy it a couple more hours, and then said fcking ‘What was your problem?’ after. I got so pissed that I hadn’t come back to them since.
I had a dream last night, that there was this adorable little kid that everyone loved and they were bringing it to my mother’s old store and as soon as people left me with her, her face would twist and distort into a sinister look and she’d try to attack me and every time i managed to keep her away,a different family member would invite her back in and i’d have to get her out of the store cause she was attacking me…..maybe the Omen got under my skin…
I had another dream that I actually remembered last night.
I went to my basement, and there were two bugs of the same species. They looked like caterpillars with butterfly wings. I couldn’t make out their size somehow and they looked blurry. I guessed they were around 6 inches long, but I wasn’t sure. It seeemd to not stay consistent. They noticed me, and one started moving towards me probably slowly. I’m not sure how they moved, because I couldn’t tell if they were flying or moving on the ground since their size was indiscernible. They seemed like they were flying, but their wings weren’t flapping and their legs are moving as if it was walking. I ran upstairs to get some Tupperware to put one of the bugs in because having that loose in the basement seemed bad, and when I got back down there were three. I approached one, container in hand, but I couldn’t see my arm or the Tupperware when I began reaching down to put the container over the bug. I missed the bug twice and couldn’t seem to get the container directly above it. Then I realized I could somewhat slightly see my arm if I paid close attention, and with much care, got the container onto the bug. I could see the container after I let it go. Another began to approach so I fled once more. I then came back, and there were four. Container nowhere to be seen. Went up, then down again, and there were six. After sone more fumbling with other containers, one got really close to me, catching me by surprise, and I panicked and stomped it into the ground. It actually worked. Some yellow blood splattered onto the floor, but the other parts of the body were no where to be seen. I did that a couple more times. I then half did the thing I went to the basement to do initially and then the dream ended.
I had a very neat dream today, there were four important characters. I forgot most their names. The neighbor, the protagonist, the protagonist’s grandfather, and the moon man. Not sure why the last one is called that. The protagonist looks like Greg heffley with the face of a frail ill Victorian child, slightly thicker limbs, and a striped blue and white shirt. The grandfather looked like the one from Spooky Month but with the face of a regular age person. The neighbor looked mildly jacked with some light festive clothing on, a Christmas sweater. There was also a bunch of other people in the neighbor’s house since he was hosting a party. It seemed fun to attend, drinks were provided in fancy glasses and people were just chatting at a regular volume in there. The moon man was a clown. No hat, hair similar to pennywise, normal human head shape, some other stuff. Also, the sky was pure black during this dream, no stars or anything visible. Even though it was rather bright outside. Was peculiar.
the neighbor lived a few houses down on a curvy road.
before the thing had started, the grandfather planted an explosive on the neighbor’s house with a remote signal thingy, the brand name was said multiple times so I think it was paid promotion. I think it had ‘Kids’ or ‘Kidz’ at the start of the name. It had the texture and shape of a squished smoke detector with a screen at the front a bit like a calculator screen saying what the signal’s set to as well as a timer. There was also a slot for the batteries to go into with no cover. When the story/dream started, the grandfather asked the protagonist to go see how his bomb is doing since it didn’t explode when he presssed the button. I’ll continue with the second part of the dream later, I gtg

it still amazing me from time to time that I have flesh. Like, I can just move my hand meat using my mind. I occasionally just move it around thinking ‘wowzas’. Having a body is such a cool thing.
I wish there was perpetually cold ice packs except with only 3/4 the coldness except they’re also sleep masks so i could keep the chilliness of comfort while having the texture and feel of the warm comfy
