Freak of the Week by Krept and Konan ft Jeremih
The local vampire diner was an experience not to be missed. Savoured by the kind that yearned for blood and feared by those who fought to keep more than a few drops of the precious substance. Amongst the screaming crowd on the dance floor was a suited figure who had recently finished a long shift at work. Being a business manger could sometimes meet bird meetings or as Max called them, bored meetings. After a few hours of seemingly going in circles, they had agreed to pay the workers a slightly increased wage, what they didn’t know was that once Max had finished turning the entire office all the money would be going to him. Feeling like the cat who had gotten the cream he prounced along the outside of the dance floor sipping his glass of blood with a strange glittery substance inside. One of the dancers moved closer to them, pressing her body against him as he danced with her, flashing their fangs at each other playfully. “So freaky, I like it!” he grinned as he removed his suit jacket, twirling it in the air.

The Man by The Killers
Striding through the clothing store as if he owned the place he reached for a pair of sunglasses, flashing a smile into the mirror as he tried them on. Satisfied with the picture perfect image reflected back to him he took them to the desk to pay, swiping his card as if it was no trouble. That was when a pair of golden coloured flip flops caught his attention, twirling to face them he danced towards them, swaying his hips to the music, not caring who was watching. “Nothing can break, nothing can break me down” he said to himself, a statement reaffirming his confidence. It had been a brilliant day for him so far and he was determined to make sure nothing ruined it.

Defiant in every way, Maxine almost throws herself back to put distance between them. Her face was pinched somewhere between a grimace and a glare as she watches him. Shaking her head, she keeps a hand out, keeping the distance between them as much as she could.
❝ I don't want it to whisper to me, ❞ she grits out, almost hissing. ❝ I want to ignore the hunger. Pretend it never existed... ❞
“Boo hoo, you! That’s so boring! Do you want to be like everyone else? With real no direction to go? Embrace what you are, it is so much more fun that way! Trust me I know” he said, a cruel and twisted laugh leaving his lips as he thought of how he enjoyed his unlife. Max had turned many vampires recently, without remorse or shame, he hadn't thought much about what it would mean for them, he didn't care how difficult the change could be, if they failed him they were destroyed; for Max it was business. “If you do that it will come back to bite ya, my advice, is accept it before it takes you, who do you want to be in control, maybe have some fun in the process.”

Max had known Matt for quite some time now, whenever he needed extra assistance with his business dealings, that was the way he chose to describe them or simply as biz. If there was such a thing as a soul; he was sure his was lost. Amongst the chaos of his life he had taken some time to reflect, he had always felt alone, even with two brothers. It was after a few shots that Max asked Matt the question, a dazed expression across his face. “Can you save my soul? Do you think you can Matty? Unless it will take something much more.. dramatic” he made sure his words were clear. “You know what they say, death inspires like a dog inspires a rabbit.”

A loud and playful laugh left his lips, full of heart. “I can be a very impulsive guy sometimes Matty! The sun doesn't affect me that way buddy, I can get a beach bod if I want to.” he said, a huge smile across his face. Max loved walking on the beach, preferably late evening to reduce the risk of headache, it certainly broke the stereotype of vampires not enjoying beach time. His desk was practically bare except for some organised stationery and his silver laptop which he carried everywhere. Being a manager was hard work, what was even harder was to turn new vampires and continue to run that business with a changing workforce, quite literally. “It is a little much buddy, what I can tell you is that it’s going to be fang-tastic!”

Swaying his hips to the rhythm of the best he made his way across the sun-kissed sand, a red drink in hand, it didn't take much imagination to figure out what it contained, you could be forgiven for being distracted by the mini umbrella that came out the side. Purposely bumping into the queen of the dance floor he grinned at her. “Hello, gorgeous!” It didn't take him long to learn she was British. “I think I’m your cup of tea and I really want to be in your company” he said, making a clicking noise with his teeth before moving back to the edge of the large crowd, playing hard to get. That was when he caught the strange scent, one he didn't recognize, he looked around the room before his eyes landed on who he thought it was coming from, he gave them a little wave before his hand returned to his side.

Max wasn’t sure where he was going and he didn’t mind, after a successful hunt, he found himself wondering forward. He let out a heavy yawn, his mouth covered in dried blood. Max was messy, and sloppy when it came to it, he revelled in the thrill of it all. It was to his surprise when he came across such a bloody scene, he may have smelt it but that didn’t mean he was prepared. “Damn, you make a mess of your meal there! Not much gonna be left soon” he said as his nostrils flared. He wondered if he was the only supernatural creature drawn to the mess. “Can you even hear me?” he asked, putting a hand on either side of her shoulders and shaking her lightly.

“Mean? Says the judgy stranger, that’s what you are, judgy. Have you been watching me? You know it’s rude to stare right?” he asked, a shit-eating green spreading across his face, his eyes full of mischief to come. “Anything else to accuse me of cutie or you done for the day?” he asked with a raised eyebrow. Max was indeed a mean man, he enjoyed playing with humans, since he was turned the vast majority of them meant nothing to him, they were food, toys to be played with or a workforce to be put to maximum effectiveness. Whoever she was, he found it interesting and slightly amusing that in his mind, he thought she felt she had the right to judge him, a stranger. “Have we met before and I can’t remember? Used to happen a lot.”
