Perhaps Ritsu would be lucky and wind up with Mao as a room mate~? They he could whine and complain all day, and make his friends run all his errands~Â
Yeah, that wouldnât be all that bad, would it?
âEh. Youâre totally being annoying about it. In fact youâre being suuuper annoying~? I told you to leave me alone, so you should.â Going back to being children⊠Itâd mean having his heart broken all over again. Heâd rather not. Although itâd been simpler times, where he hadnât thought twice about relaxing in his brothers arms.
â⊠Perhaps Iâll come visit once or twice. Kaoru-san will probably get really troubled if youâre all he sees in that sucky place.â

"That's for the best. I'm sure you'd get lonely if you did," he said. He pressed his face against him, even if it was obvious Ritsu didn't want to be held by him. It still felt rather nice to hold him like this.
Though the bliss he felt was short-lived when Ritsu called him annoying and told him to leave again. Not that he would listen. It was rare he could hold Ritsu like this and he wasn't going to waste this chance. He was going to enjoy it for all it was worth, for however long it lasted.
"That makes like it sound you're coming to see Kaoru-kun instead of me though," he said, trying not to sound sulky. "You have to come see us both, not just Kaoru-kun."

"I'm sure you'd win in a fight against them, considering you're much bigger than bettas," he said. Fighting a fish, especially the tiny ones, would be weird. He turned his attention to the jellyfish.
"Hm? I don't think it's emotion that makes us human. Cause as you've said, animals have them too. Though, even I can't pinpoint what makes one human. Being a vampire, human matters are lost on me," he said. Most people seem to think a person's ability to think for themselves and not rely on basic instincts to survive is what makes someone human. But Rei was sure it was more than that.

When would he leave? Would he? Or would he die here? Would Rei let him die now that Kaoru knew about him? If he found out he was getting along with Kiku, he probably would be killed. (Did he want that? Did he recoil from the thought? He⊠Honestly didnât know. Couldnât figure it out.) âI would⊠Love that. As long as you wonât get in trouble for it, Princess.â
At her question, he simply shook his head. There was only so much he could tell a child as young as her. âThereâs been⊠Nightmares, I guess.â

âI wonât get in trouble,â she said. Rei never punished her for anything and she was sure Kaoru wouldnât get mad at her just for inviting Eichi to tea parties. You were suppose to be nice to guests after all. And this was her free time, she wasn't skipping her lessons or anything like she usually did.
"Nightmares? I hate those. I usually have Ms. Gray to help me keep the bad dreams away and if I do have them, hugging her makes me feel better," she said, talking about the seal plush her mom had given her the day she was born.

âWould you believe me if I told you I have never had tomato juiceâŠ?â He had had beet root juice, which was⊠An experience, and carrot juice⊠Perhaps because the way he had been brought up, he only (or mostly) associated tomato juice with Bloody Mary, and he had never had any desire to taste that.

"A lot of people haven't tried tomato juice so it doesn't surprise me if you've never had it. Which is a shame, tomato juice is great," he said. He honestly didn't see why people had a problem with it.

âOh, Iâm quite sure that neither would you,â Eichi chuckled, leaning forward a little. âI doubt my blood is of any good quality whatsoever. In fact, Iâm willing to bet that it is quite disgusting.â

"Possibly. We wouldn't know unless I bit you," he said. Not that he wanted to bite Eichi. Disgusting, the thought made him recoil. "I don't even like blood so I'm sure I'd find it disgusting anyway. I definitely prefer tomato juice."

âTea parties are quite lovely, arenât they? I used to have them a lot myselfâŠâ He tried not to think too much about the time before though. It hurt too much. He wasnât ready to confront it. Not now. Maybe not ever. Who knew?Â
âIâm⊠Just a bit tired, I suppose. But please donât worry yourself, Princess, I wonât spill, I promise.â Well, he hoped that he wouldnât.

"They are~ If you want, I can invite you whenever I have tea parties. At least when you are here," she said. Kiku wasn't sure how long Eichi was going to be here, most of her mom's guests don't stay long. A month at the most from what Kiku remembered about previous guests.
She hadn't been concerned about him spilling, more worried his health than the tea. "Tired? Have you not been getting enough sleep?"
Just a Rei and Kiku thing
Rei was laying in bed, staring at his adorable little daughter laying beside him. She just turned a year old a few days ago. Kaoru had come home for her birthday but then left the day after. It made Rei sad that he left so quickly but at least he came home for Kiku's birthday. She was clinging to the seal plushie he had gotten for her before she was even born, it was so cute to watch her cuddle with the plushie. He reached over and gently grabbed one of her hands, a goofy smile coming to his face when she gripped his thumb and looked over at him.
She cooed and smiled at him, she reminded Rei of when Ritsu was a baby. She had Kaoru's eyes though, instead of red like Rei's.
"Mama," she spoke while making grabby hands, which usually meant she wanted a hug. So he pulled her close and nuzzled her, earning a happy giggle from her.
"You know I'll never let anyone hurt you, right? Kaoru has told me of the dangers you'll be in, since you are a selkie like him. I'll kill anyone who would do you harm," he said as Kiku nuzzled him. She was babbling back, as if she were talking to him. Even though she probably didn't understand Rei's words.
It wasn't as if he were completely clueless. After all, Rei had stolen Kaoru's coat when they first met and kept him trapped here with him for years. If he hadn't, Kiku might not have been born at all, nor would they even be planning to have two more children in the future. And while that worked in Rei's favor, it left a sour taste in his mouth when he thought about the same happening to his precious daughter.
He held Kiku close as he sat up and then put her down in his lap. She stared up at him and tilted her head. "Mama?"
"It's nothing, my little seal. I should lay you down, my next meeting is going to start soon," he said, watching as a grumpy expression came onto Kiku's face.
"No. Stay," she said, making Rei laugh. Ritsu had told him that many times, but Kaoru had told him not to spoil her like he had done to Ritsu. So he picked her up and went over to the crib, laying her down. He had to look away when her eyes got all teary, he was weak to her sad face.
"Go to sleep, princess. When my meetings are over, I'll run a bath for you and you can play in the water," he said. Kiku already loved the water but Rei wouldn't let her go in the pool yet. Not without Kaoru, since he didn't know how to swim and wouldn't be able to help Kiku if something went wrong.
He heard her make a little 'hmph' and looked back in time to see her roll over, her back facing him. She was sulking, it was adorable. He gently patted her head.
"I love you," he told her, before stepping away and heading out of the room.

Everyone was busy with the upcoming graduation of the third year and herself with studies and work for Knights. Orange eyes looking a bit everywhere, it wouldnât be the same thing in April. Normally, she would be going home but her mind wondered everywhere. The Knights Lady walked in the hallway when she stopped by her club room. Alexandra refused to bother anyone, so she only listened by the door.
It wasnât hard to be find out the soon to be third year. With a little sheepish smile, she walked in the club after he finished his sentence. âSorry.. I didnât want to bother. You looked busy so I didnât have the heart to disturb you, senpai.â

"I'm not really busy, if anything I'm probably slacking off since I should be focusing on graduation," he said, gathering his materials and putting them away. He could continue later, once he was at home.
"And what about you? I'm sure you're busy too, since two members of your unit graduating soon. And one is even going abroad," he said. He knew a bit about what was going on with Knights from Kaoru, since he was friends with Izumi. And some from Ritsu, when the younger was feeling nice enough to talk with Rei.

"I'll just have to ambush them later if I find them," he said, sulking a little bit. At least he knew where to find Ritsu most of the time but Kaoru was harder to track down.
"Which ones did you bring in?" He asked as he looked back at the tank. Most of them he could tell what they were, like the turtles. But there were a lot he didn't know of at all.
"Interesting discussions? Like what?" He asked. "And sure, if you're up for it. It's been a while since we've hung out, just the two of us. Usually we have the other three with us."

Had he meant to giggle? At something Sakuma Rei said or did? No. Never. But here he was, hiding his mouth behind his hand, his shoulders shaking with laughter.Â

He was actually surprised when Eichi giggled at him, unsure of how else to feel. He was supposed to be scary, but everyone always took his vampirism as a joke.
"I'm sure you wouldn't be laughing if I actually bit you," he said with a sigh. After all, being bitten by such sharp fangs would hurt.

âI am quite fond of green tea, actually~ And fruit tea.â Naturally.
Eichi smiled at her and scooted a little closer, motioning for Kiku to take a seat as well.
âThank you so much, Princess. Your kindness is very much appreciated.â Eichi figured he ought to serve them, it was only proper, so he did, his hands only shaking a little.Â

"I don't think I've had fruit tea before," she said. Her parents usually gave her juice, unless she specifically asked for tea.
She pushed a chair closer to Eichi and then sat down as well. "This feels like a tea party, I usually on have these with my stuffed animals and Ai-chan. When she's in the mood at least."
She watched as he poured the tea, her expression concerned when she noticed his hands were shaking. "Are you okay? Your hands are shaky."

When he was asleep, he was asleep. Out like a light, sleeping like a rock, almost resembling a corpse even. Luckily everyone, aside from Leo, knew he wasnât dead and just a deep sleeper. At the mention of plans though, he had to think for a bit. What to do to make the night less boring?
ââAh, I want to watch a movie~ maybe make a pillow fort to rest in for it~ââ

"Yea, he would have," he said. It was silly but sometimes he felt jealous of Isara. His little brother relied on him so much, he wanted Ritsu to rely on him too. He was his big brother after all.
"Hm, watching a movie sounds fun. I don't know much about newer movies that are out recently though, usually my unitmates or my children show them to me. Would you like me to make the pillow fort for you?"
Rei couldn't remember the last time he made a pillow fort. It had to be when he and Ritsu were still children, before Rei had a lot of responsibilities and things to take care of for the family.

âBlueberry muffins? OhâŠâ He allowed a dreamy little sigh to escape him. Of course it wasnât as good as strawberry shortcake, but not a lot of things were. (Sadly, strawberry sandwiches werenât a thing, or Eichi would have adored themâŠ)
Kiku bolted off and Eichi quickly averted his eyes from the maidâs scrutinizing side glare. Instead he slipped inside and sighed, the constant pain in his body a little bit less present since the visit to the doctor, but with the trade that he was too clearly reminded of that manâs hands all over him.Â

The young selkie was only gone for maybe 15 minutes before she came back, carrying a tray as she came in. There were two slices of strawberry shortcake on the tray as well a teapot and two teacups. The pot and cups had seals printed on them, like most things in the castle. Rei adored seals after all.
She went to the table in the room and gently set the tray down. "The teapot is filled with green tea, I hope that's okay. I don't like bitter tea."

âWell, Iâve always known Iâd die young, so naturally deathâs been on my mind a lot. Especially when conversing with the son of a priest. I⊠Suppose itâs not what children usually talk about, but we did talk about Keitoâs fondness for stories and the like as well. He even tried to get me to draw together with him. Iâm horrible at it though.â

Maybe he felt a little sorry for him. Just a little bit. Rei couldn't really imagine what it must feel like, growing up thinking you might not live to see tomorrow. He could only imagine how it felt based on his own experience. Ritsu had been a sickly child after all and some days Rei had feared he'd wake up and his little brother would be gone. But that wasn't the same as actually experiencing that he might die.
"Hm? Of course I am. I am a vampire after all, we are immortal beings," he said, playfully baring his fangs at Eichi as if that proved his point.

The amount of times he had fallen asleep in some odd place and simply been overlooked, he was quite used to being at school for the night. Though being at home in a nice and warm bed was a lot better for sure, as it meant he had a soft place to curl up in for resting. Even if the ground worked too, it did start hurting after a while.

"I'm sure they wouldn't have left you there, they probably would have tried waking you. Or Isara-kun might have come by to get you," he said. Mao often carried Ritsu home after all. Though, he was happy that he got to be the one to carry him home for once.
âWell, we have the whole night to ourselves now. Got any plans?â Rei asked. Rei was probably going to write some music and then try to head to bed. He was trying to keep his attendance up after all.
