Tales of demonic, dead and drunk Episode 2: You are WHAT?
This takes place shortly after the events of Namariel and YĂ´kariâs first meeting.
The fighting had finally died down and the demonic forces had been vanquished by the combined efforts of the original Ebon Blade patrol and the additional forces of the Illidari. Â Namariel and YĂ´kari were in the process of wiping of the bloodstains from their weapons to prevent them from rusting, when a somewhat important looking blood elf demon hunter approached them. He stopped a foot away from then and assumed official posture, before saluting YĂ´kari. That was all he did, as he appeared to wait for something.
Namariel gave her erstwhile ally a questioning look, which resulted in one of those cocky grins she was quickly growing accustomed to seeing on the night elfâs face.
âOh you donât know? This could be funâŚâ was all she said before turning to the waiting blood elf. âAt ease my friend, what is our status?â
âSlayer YĂ´kari, the operation was a full success and we managed to save all of our allies. I am happy to report that there are no wounded Illidari on our side.â Namarielâs eyes went wide as she heard the title that was used to address the night elf. Her battle-companion was the leader of the Illidari?! What a coincidenceâŚ.
Noticing the Death Knights wide eyes, YĂ´kariâs grin gave way to a full-blown smirk before she turned her attention back to what must be one of her officers. âThatâs good to hear Kayn. See if the Death Knights need anything before returning to base. That will be allâ. Clearly understanding he was dismissed, the now identified Kayn Sunfury gave quick salute before going about as he was ordered.
YĂ´kari turned back to Namariel, smirk still in place and opened her mouth to most likely brag about something, before noticing something behind the blood elf, which caused her to not say anything, but rather look on in confusion.
âDeathlord Namariel, I am happy to report that thanks to the help of our Demon Hunter allies, the situation has been resolved and that I have no causalities to report. Only several wounded, but nothing we wonât be able to treat in short order. Do you have any further instructions?â came a somewhat monotone, very professional sounding voice from behind the blood elf. Now it was Namarielâs turn to give the Demon Huntress a broad smirk before turning around.
âAh, Koltira. Thank you for your report. Iâm glad all of you are alright. Do you need anything from me?â, with those last words she laid one of her hands on the, what appeared to be another blood elf death knightâs shoulder, who visible cringed at the contact. This would have most likely been interesting to note for YĂ´kari, but her mind was still short-circuited from the revelation, that she had come to the aid of the leader of the Ebon Blade⌠what a small word!
âNo my lady, we are fine. Could you perhapsâŚ.?â, Koltira motioned to the Deathlordâs touching hand. His only response was a quick hug, before he finally was let go, now openly scowling. âNow now, Koltira, cheer up! We managed to beat the Legion back, kicked some ass and now everything is fine. Anyway, you can go. But be sure to handle those transports carefully yes? No need to further aggrieve any of those injuries.â
Koltira sighed. âAs you wish Deathlord. Though I doubt they will need any special treatment, they are Death Knight after all. By your leave.â, that said, and what appeared to be an ongoing issue between the two, Koltira left.
âY-Youâre the leader of the Ebon Blade?â. Apparently, YĂ´kari had finally managed to gather her wits far enough to say something.
âYeah. Is there something wrong with that?â came the curious reply, though YĂ´kari was sure she detected an undertone, daring her to say the wrong thing.
âNo of course not! Every order can use some bad-ass female fighting power! It justâŚ. It just surprised me that two class leaders would randomly meet on an unimportant battlefield. Normally this is the thing that happens at those epic battles, not at some smallish engagement, yâ know? Though do you know what means?â, that last part visibly had an air of excitement added to the Demon Huntressâ voice.
âUhm, no. That weâre important or some such nonsense? Or that fate had decreed we should meet? How would I know?â, was all that Namariel had to say to that. Nonplussed at that last bit, YĂ´kari did what she often did when someone made an outlandish statement. She giggled in delight, before suddenly rushing right in front of the blood elf and giving her one of her trademark fanged grins. She then placed both of her hands on the startled Death Knights shoulder, before cheerfully remarking:
âNo silly, it means we have to go get a drink! Forge bonds between our orders and all that. But most importantly to get a drink. What do you say?â
âF-Fine, I guessâ. Namariel was still digesting the sudden hug and proximity of the other elf and so didnât really think about her answer. The next thing she knew, YĂ´kari had grabbed her hand and was dragging her in the direction of everyoneâs mounts, clearly eager to go.
