Ah, these days are a bit complicated, especially with my emotions... But I just need to distance myself from people as much as possible for a while. Then I'll be fine.

Well you can talk to me if you’d like- I’m not human so technically I’m not “people” hah

Emotions are heavy things to carry and difficult to sort through, I know of a few people who hide away until they’re ready

I don’t think it’s a bad thing, I’m glad you know how to take care of yourself and take a step back when needed

I’ve been doing good, though I’ve been sleeping a lot more than usual? Most days I’ve been getting up around noon for some reason

Ah, I see... Well, I don't think that's a bad thing. Especially if you expend a lot of energy in a day.

I remember that when I still had my last job I had to set at least 3 alarms to make sure that I got up and went to work.

I don’t exactly have the means for an alarm though, I think I just need to go to sleep earlier and go easier on the lavender chamomile tea in the evenings

Mmm, honestly, I'm not very picky about food or drink, but I guess if I had to choose... Black tea. Sugar-free.

Jasmine looks at Ducky for a few seconds before taking two steps back.

"Ducky, um- I don't think this is a good time..."

She scratches her neck.

"These are some rather complicated days for me..."

“Thats why ice cream is perfect. It’s simple and unchanging. Do some simple shit with me.”

[ Ducky offered her hand to Jasmine ]

"Ducky... Seriously—I shouldn't be around people for too long..."

She looks away

“Who said anything about people. I have a pint of rocky road at home. Lots of pints. What do you think I’ve been doing in my time alone?”

[ Ducky smirked, for a little bit at least, before she grabbed Jasmine’s hand anyways. ]

“Come, enjoy some company. Me company. Company with Mayvin. None of that Ducky stuff.”

Jasmine seems to hesitate for a moment before sighing.

"Okay... I'll just be there for a little while."

She doesn't seem entirely sure yet.

“Yes, come, come with Mayvin. You trust her.”

[ She smiled, grabbing both Jasmine’s hands, leading her. Determined to eat ice cream. ]

Jasmine follows her. She seems uneasy, not as confident as usual. She seems like a completely different person.

".. Yeah..."

“Yessss.”

[ Ducky smiled, cooing softly. Her lazy attempt at making a comforting sound for Jasmine. ]

Jasmine follows Ducky, remaining silent for a few minutes. She still seems nervous, or even a little uncomfortable. Even so, she tries to bring up a topic of conversation.

"So... how have you been?"

“Can’t complain. Keeping steady with a few orders.”

[ Ducky let go of Jasmine’s hand, digging into a freezer that was mostly frozen vegetables and ice cream. Grabbing two pints of the chocolate ice cream. ]

“Get this, some freak asked me to make them a pronged harness. Of course I’m not straying away from that, hella good money I tell you.”

[ Ducky laughed, grabbing spoons, and handing the pint and spoon to Jasmine. ]

"I see... Well, at least things are going well for you. I'm still looking for work, but it's complicated since I don't have, and never have had, any documents..."

She looked at the spoon for a moment before she began to eat.

[ Ducky took a bite of her pint. Nudging Jasmine’s shoulder with her own. ]

“Could always forge some. Thats an option. But I have a feeling that’s not the main reason you’re so down in the blues.”

Jasmine shrugs, looking away.

"I wouldn't say I'm sad..."

She scratches her neck.

"It's just that these days are... strange. And that's why I try to interact with as few people as possible."

Probably the worst flavour, your least favourite. Lets be honest.

What if I like all flavors of ice cream?

The only message jasmine received was a location. It was possibly that Lucienne wanted to meet there.

In less than twenty minutes... She arrived. Probably flying. Jasmine had a look you don't see very often. Serious. Somewhat sad.

She looked up at jasmine for a split second before dropping her eyes to the ground again. "I just wanted to know what your decision was." Lucienne spoke softly. "But I think I can guess.."

Jasmine moves closer until she is an arm's length away.

"...You probably already know, right?... You always knew me better than anyone else."

She nods a little. "So.. it's really the end? of us?" Lucienne picks at the edge of her sleeve, trying to focus on it to give her hands something to do as her chest tightens

Jasmine takes a breath, then exhales shakily.

"Yeah."

She grabs Luci's chin, making her look into her eyes.

"...I'm so sorry, Luci..."

For a moment she says nothing, just standing there under Jasmine's gaze. Her stomach dropped, keeping her eyes locked onto Jasmine's, but the strain shows in the way her shoulders tense up as she tries to keep her breathing steady.

"...Can we just..." she continues softly, her hands clenching into loose fists at her sides. "Can we kiss, just.. one more time.."

She glances at Luci for a second before smiling, moving a little closer. Warming her up.

"Of course."

She strokes her cheek.

A small breath slips out at the stroke against her cheek. Her eyes shut for a second. She doesn't pull back, instead leaning her face into the palm of Jasmine’s hand instinctively, reaching up with her own hand against Jasmine's cheek in return. Slowly leaning in to close the distance between them.

When the distance between them closes, the kiss is soft and slow. As if Jasmine were holding back. She stops the caresses of her hand, simply resting it on Luci's cheek.

She melts the second their lips meet, leaning all her weight into Jasmine. She wants more, wants her to actually hold her, to kiss her like she used to. Lucienne lets out a weak choke, starting to cry right there.

"Luci..."

She stops kissing her and hugs her, squeezing her tightly enough so that she can't hold anything back.

"...You'll be okay, I know it."

Lucienne wraps her arms around Jasmine, clinging to her harder. She buries her face in her shoulder, sobbing into her. Struggling to swallow the cries down, she chokes out, "I still love you."

"I know."

She wraps her wings around Lucienne, keeping her close. Jasmine gently strokes Luci's hair.

She will stay until Luci feels better.

"Why, jasmine.." She pulls back enough to look at the other "Why do you feel like this has to happen? I.."

"...You didn't do anything wrong. Okay? Nothing."

She says, looking away.

"...I don't want you to blame yourself for this."

She quickly wipes her eyes. "I'm scared to let you go. But it would be stupid of me to keep trying when you don't feel the same anymore.." Lucienne turned away, trying to compose herself again

Jasmine tilted her head slightly as she looked at Luci.

"...Luci... I want you to know that if you need me... I'll be there. I won't disappear from your life if you don't want me to."
