hello heres an about us thingy! we are (the) folia plexus :) we follow from @altleaf17 !

body age is 25

Collectively we go by Leaf and they/him. do not ask who is fronting or other personal/sensitive details.

we are a diagnosed osdd system that has been in therapy for many years.

we would like those in the pro-endo scene to not follow us. this blog is for fellow CDD systems and supporters. we do reblog some discourse content.

as far as what we believe. a system is a group of alters within DID/OSDD. that is caused by repeated trauma and dissociation starting at a young age.

plurality exists as a broad experience. through spirituality, internal parts, daydreaming, etc. it is not inherently disordered or harmful.

this blog is not a space for non-disordered plurality. please respect that

otherwise. just be a considerate being. dont be hateful or rude, etc. dont refer to anti-endos as 'sysmeds',dont conflate personality disorders with types of abuse. respect educated self diagnosis/questioning.

Here’s the thing I feel like a lot of folks don’t get: I’m not trying to forget what you said. Honestly, I really tried not to. I can’t control what I do and don’t remember—forgetting things just happens. It’s annoying for you, I know, but for me it’s distressing as hell and when you make a big deal out of it rather than just reminding me you make me feel ashamed. I’ll remember that, at least.

It costs you nothing to be kind to people with memory problems. Please. It’s scary enough without people treating memory lapses as a personal failing.

I've been watching ghost hunting videos on YouTube for the last couple weeks and it cracks me up how much it's like trying to do internal communication in system. I feel like I'm just standing in headspace with my goddamn spirit box trying to interpret the most random words of all time. It's a lot of sensing and getting nothing when I WANT to talk to them, and getting surprised out of nowhere when I'm just trying to do something else. Going into our meeting room feels like performing a seance. Basically I'm being haunted by dozens of ghosts of myself.

Common things in DID that no one likes to talk about

- switches that feel like you’re turning into someone else rather than them taking control (non-possessive switching)

- being unable to recognize amnesia until something requires you to remember something you forgot

- staying in the front for weeks at a time

- being unable to communicate with alters internally (this is so common why does everyone act like this is weird?)

- feeling like you don’t have any problems because you feel disconnected from them

- constant denial

- rapid identity, label, and appearance changes

- comorbidities, particularly personality disorders, anxiety disorders, and the schizophrenia spectrum

- autism (there is science pointing towards autistic people being more susceptible to trauma)

- disliking your system

- wanting final fusion
