That One Girl
There are people we meet and there are people who become a feeling. She was never just a girl to me she was love itself. Simple, gentle, and impossibly beautiful, as though the world had spent centuries trying to paint the perfect sunrise and had finally succeeded in her. Her face carried the softness of a fairy tale, but it was her soul that held the quiet grace of a saint. When she smiled, it felt as if flowers bowed in admiration, and when she walked away, even silence turned into poetry. She was still so young, yet somehow she understood the language that eyes speak when words fail.
And now, she was far away.
Not because love had disappeared, but because life had placed miles between us not just the kind measured on maps, but the miles made of time, silence, unanswered questions, responsibilities, fears, and the countless storms that two hearts cannot always outrun. Yet somehow, despite every distance the world could create, my heart never learned to measure how far she truly was as in love distance doesn't matter. Some days it feels like I knew her in another lifetime. Other days it feels as though she had been standing beside me only a moment ago. Yesterday, today, a hundred lifetimes ago they all blur together whenever I think of her. Love has a strange way of making every memory feel both ancient and immediate, no matter how great the distance.
I still search for her without realizing it. Every crowded street, every familiar melody, every quiet evening carries the hope that one day our paths will cross again. My heart keeps weighing every face against the memory of hers, knowing none will ever compare. I call out to her in my thoughts, in my prayers, in every name that love has ever been given. If she could somehow hear these words, I would ask for only one thing: come back, even if only once. Don't let the faith I placed in us become a scar I have to carry forever.
Because without her, I fear I would forget how to live. Without her, I don't think I would know how to write another poem, another song, or another love story. She was the verse that gave meaning to every page of my life, and now all that remains is an unfinished sentence, waiting for the one person who could ever complete it.
