It’s so difficult to live a life different from everyone’s.
Emotions described as people and places.
The echoes in my brain, the sounds of my dreams, the past lives remembered; all coming together to form a new reality.
Who were you, before the world told you who you are suppose to be?
Live your life as a mystery to others…
-The Picture of Dorian Grey
Keeping your peace, mental and emotional health is difficult. Not only because you can't control how you feel or what you think sometimes. But the sacrifices it involves: giving up people and habits that are making you drown into a cold pit of desperation. Nevertheless, it is worth it.
Ignore their voices, block them… It is just noise.
Abracadabra
"I will create as I say."
To live the life you wish, you need to confess it first.
We have a heart made of pieces.
Some pieces are broken;
words that stabbed them,
actions that slammed them.
Pieces switched with fake love,
stitched with true loathe.
We carry pieces of hearts,
that are not ours.
For the rest of our lives,
we carry pieces of other people’s hearts.
The people we meet;
The people we love.
Our heart is not ours.
The older amongst my brothers and sisters,
They call me by many names;
Mostly known as the first ring of hell.
My citizens are the ones who believe they are gods,
Thinking of others as their slaves,
Not knowing it will lead them to their graves.
Through the dense shadows,
There is a beast to be found.
The jailer of my reign.
It’s name never mentioned by the people inside;
They fear and know the power it has;
For it was the guide in their life.
He takes my subjects,
Dragging them on the ground.
They go oppressed with great weights
Into dungeons known as selfishness.
In every corner, in all angles
There are mirrors to be found.
The punishment for those who only look upon themselves.
Study Tip!
Think of your notebooks as one of those boards portrayed in mystery novels. You "fill them as you understand".
Start with the basic knowledge, what the teacher gives you.
Then, fill it in with reviews, additional details, examples connections, etc.
Everything to discover the mystery of the topic being studied.
Live in your own little word. Romanticize and make eveything as delusional as you wish. Rainy days, hot coffee or tea, books, music and school work…
The satisfaction of seeing a pretty book cover
Study Tip
Saw a video the other day explaining how to actually study math. It basically gives 3 steps on how to master a topic. 1. Conceptual understanding: This is theoretical part, you understand the concepts, vocab, formulas or any piece of information that makes the base of what you will be doing next. 2. Process of solving: You need to know the steps on solving each kind of problem. In this part, is is essentially important to write out the steps used to the question. 3. Practice: Can't be more clearer. The key to being good at math practice, practice, practice.
Start romanticizing chaos…
Messy notes, hundred of tags on books, a desk covered with papers of different subjects, unsolved math problems and unfinished projects.
