Something I stumbled upon on Twitter earlier today.

An extra from Vol 08 that wasn't translated until Twitter users Melody-Saber and ellasux so kindly did the job (I don’t know who you are but I LOVE YOUUU!!!).

BUT THAT ASIDE.

I am now thoroughly convinced.

I often see people mischaracterize Miyano by implying that he doesn’t like Sasaki as Much as Sasaki likes him, or he forced himself to fall for Sasaki. I’ve also seen people say Miyano doesn’t like Sasaki’s affections (holding hands, kissing ect) and it makes me so SAD b/c Miyano cares about Sasaki so much, he’s just a lot more subtle about it.

He’s aware of Sasaki’s insecurities and actively combats them with constant reassurance, proper communication ect, because he cares so much. He doesn’t like to see Sasaki worried.

People try and use Miyano’s embarrassment as evidence but Sasaki gets just as embarrassed! We get to see Miyano’s feelings develop as these two teenage boys navigate their first relationship. Ofc they’re gonna be awkward! (I personally think Miyano liked Sasaki from very close to the beginning but that’s a post for another time)

Miyano literally got a part time job just to treat his boyfriend on a date and y’all say he isn’t whipped? Please.

"Shummei! That's enough-!" laughter spilled from Miyano’s lips, his hands finding gentle purchase in Sasaki’s hair just as his boyfriend stopped his barrage of kisses.

Miyano finally cracked open his eyes to look down at Sasaki from his position in his lap, finding himself subject of Sasaki’s gentle gaze.

He looked at Miyano as if he were a treasure more precious than any gold or jewels that could ever exist. Under that look, Miyano could feel the love he held for Sasaki grow even more. It filled his body to overflowing, boiling over until Miyano couldn’t help but lean in and give Sasaki a quick kiss.

Sasaki squeaked as his head fell heavy on Miyano’s chest, a blush rising high on his skin. "God, Miya. I love you so much,”

Miyano hummed softly, his hands mindlessly working their way through Sasaki’s hair. With him, being happy was easy, second only to loving him.

These kinds of things came naturally, after all.

Never once did Miyano wonder if he loved Sasaki. It’d always been how he loved Sasaki.

How could he not fall in love with a boy who looked at him as if he held the world between his palms? Who goes out of his way to shower Miyano in reassurance and adoration?

Not falling in love would’ve been a more difficult task…

And now that he’d fallen, Miyano wanted nothing more than to return his boyfriends gestures.

"I love you too, Shuumei." He muttered, placing a kiss upon his boyfriends head.

Times like these are the ones Miyano wanted to last forever, suspended in time and wrapped in love.

I don’t rlly have time to write rn so I’ll just talk about hands in Sasaki and Miyano

More specifically, Miyano’s hands

I really like how his hands aren’t drawn super small and dainty. Yes, Miyano is small but he’s still a guy at the end of the day. Sasaki and Miyano subverts stereotypes in every way possible. The way both of them almost fit into stereotypes, but slightly miss the mark

Sasaki fits the bad boy look but right away, we get to see him pinning over Miyano, and being exceedingly kind. The only thing ‘bad boy’ about Sasaki is his piercings

Miyano looks like a stereotypical ‘shy boy/smaller partner’ in the dynamic but unlike those stereotypes, Miyano is very dominate in his conversations and very open about his interests ect ect

I could talk about it ALOT more but I’ll keep it short and sweet for now

And the way their dynamic works also subverts expectations in such a delicious way 🙇
