Have you ever done something that goes so against what you want that it makes you physically cold? Have you ever uncontrollably shivered as you slowly turn into ice because that is the only way you can numb yourself? Have you ever been so uncomfortable with letting someone go that you are on a constant adrenaline rush? Have you ever missed someone so much that at any given time, without warning, you feel like you've been kicked in the stomach and you struggle to breathe? Have you ever been through all of this and still had to tell yourself it's the right thing to do?   Know this. I am insanely proud of you.

he's so dangerous and you know you need the strength to leave. but every minute spent with him makes you weaker because you believe the illusion that you are stronger with him.

What’s your favourite quote? - it’s always good to have an end to journey toward, but it is the journey that matters, in the end.

i miss who i used to be

The thing with him is, he’s different to anyone or anything I have ever encountered before. He sets a fire that I am both attracted to and terrified of. He knows me too well. Dangerously well. He knows exactly what to say to make me feel better, feel worse, or to persuade me to get out of the house and do something. And, I don’t know whether to love that or hate it. I’ve never felt so safe and so vulnerable simultaneously. So exposed yet so protected. It scares me. The power you give someone when you love them doesn’t make you weak. It makes you incredibly strong. It takes guts to stand on the cliff edge when there’s no guarantee they’ll be there if you fall.

I don't want somebody who wants to die for me. I want somebody who wants to grow with me. I don't want to be someones world. I want someone to share the world with. I don't want someone to rely on me for happiness. I want someone who can be happy on their own. I want somebody to want me but not need me.

To me, living is the act of constantly stretching yourself, accepting other people, other cultures, other ways of life, meeting new people and learning from them and generally constantly improving the current version of yourself. It's an ethos that I have very slowly discovered this past year, and it's now that I have discovered it that I feel most myself
