☣-; The weight is weird atop his head, and he feels out of place in an area so VIBRANT with life and color. He was the complete opposite; he and death went hand in hand, so was it really okay for such a person like him to be here? She certainly didn’t seem to mind, but she had always been that way, hadn’t she? A part of him was glad that in every life, she had maintained that part of her identity.
☣-; He understands why she’s so intent on learning more about her past self. Perhaps it could fill the gaps in her mind, but still, he probably wasn’t the best one to come to for such information… He interacted with very few gods (unless he was messing with them), but he does his best for Antheia–especially with those eyes like a puppy; he simply couldn’t leave her to ponder, and so he scratches the back of his head, looking for the right words to say.
☣-; “We weren’t all that close, but… She was really mature. She was elegant and graceful, but she was also reserved and kept to herself most of the time… There were some who managed to get past that part of her though, and she treasured them dearly… Your being here is a result of her loyalty. ‘Till death do us part’… or something like that.”
she won’t say it out loud, but she prefers the way he looks now; flower wreath contrasting heavily to his monochromatic palette, making him look far too out of place, yet almost making him feel more approachable. he wasn’t so intimidating, not so LARGE or SCARY to her anymore, how could he be with a blooming crown of colour atop his head? it makes her very happy that she can speak normally with him, instead of being terrified, even if it’s just because of a silly item.
her lips part when he speaks of her past self, and immediately roselle is comparing her now to her then. what did she lose to time? what parts of her no longer exist? it’s like she’s hearing of a completely DIFFERENT person, yet it resonates with her like nothing else. she knows this MUST have been what she was like, how familiar and welcoming it sounds, yet she is now so different. it almost makes her upset, that she is no longer an elegant, mature goddess, but a childish young girl who masquerades as just that.
she takes a deep breath, and smiles, weakly.
❛ it looks like i’ve got a long way to get to how i once was, huh? ❜ a giggle, to hide how she wishes she was more like her past self. ❛ then, until i am more like my past self, eris, can you call me by my new name? at the moment, i am roselle, NOT antheia. i don’t think i’m very worthy of that name at the moment, so i’ll work hard to be worthy. ❜
