Here’s the thing about the Yuri on Ice kiss/display of representation: it means nothing if fans don’t support the work by watching it legally, buying the DVDs, buying merch, etc. Not to say people weren’t planning on doing so already, but the only thing higher-ups in the anime industry will recognize is money/returns. If Yuri on Ice goes on to be the highest selling, most profitable anime of the season, you can bet your ass that studios will look at that and ask why it happened. This is the same reason we get 5 million shows a year of underage girls with huge anime tiddies and no plot - it sells to the target fanbase. 

So support the show financially - Get you a licensed body pillow, get you some dvds, some swag, w/e. Make sure that it forces other studios & shows to step their game up.
