— BIOGRAPHY Oktober was born and raised in a tiny apartment building in Sheepshead Bay, BK but was raised by mostly his grandmother, his family scrambled into the system with little care, falling victim to addiction and gangs in the area who would do anything to fuel it. Growing up, he was shy and sensitive, the type of kid that tended to be pushed around and walked all over but he didn’t mind being a doormat since he didn’t have the bravery to stand up for himself. There was something always different about him, as his grandmother put it, but in her words it was a ‘good’ difference despite no one else thinking the same. Though he didn't speak much, he navigated the world easily as a city kid. Oktober’s grandmother and home life only got worse as he got older, his mother refusing to look after him or win back custody of her other children who lived elsewhere and he was sent to foster care after his grandmother’s passing. Due to certain childhood trauma, he naturally became more jaded and self-centered as time went on. Though he kept tabs on his mother, he still has very little information on her.
Despite not exactly knowing why, he learned that people were more trusting of a charismatic person, so he learned how to appear sweeter and more collected, even digging back into his childhood to come across as shy or nervous to manipulate people into doing what he wants or giving him what he needs. He remained in Brooklyn, taking odd jobs throughout the summer before eventually aging out of the system. He often spent time on computers and was obsessed with pop culture and media, but it was during high school that he began learning how to disable computer software, firewalls and the like, and eventually began learning about computer viruses. After he’d graduated, he’d learned to disable a good portion of security systems, get into peoples’ social media, and used this to eventually find his siblings again after high school (and maybe change some wikipedia articles, because why not?) But despite having a talent with computers, he stuck with his dream of working in media, memories of his grandmother always having the news running on her tiny antenna TV.
It took him a long time to graduate college, dropping out twice in order to find stable work, and turned from serving drinks to learning how to steal and sell information, starting with his boss’ own trade secrets in the marketing business. He was able to finish college with the help of a union scholarship by working as an IT software assistant and used his resources through his boss to start his own blog, as journalism was his passion. His blog was dubbed as The Blue Room for his obsession with blueberries. --HIS BLOG The Blue Room is a blog that has monthly specials, containing information from Pop culture to rumors of certain officials. During his monthly specials, Oktober interviews people and gives them a chance to answer his questions, always on the look for people who want to 'set the record straight'. He’s been detained for harassment and public disturbance multiple times but has never faced consequences for it, having a large media platform coming in handy to evade serious consequences in the first place. Despite his run-ins with the law, Oktober has no worry about it, not entirely afraid of the consequences. He can confusingly come across as quiet to the people he associates with, especially the Brooklyn Eagle staff where he works part-time at (that can’t fire him yet) that he sells articles to. He has sold secrets either people around him, people he’s slept with or stolen from people’s emails, when approached or forced to but he is not all knowing and prefers to stick to his day job. For money, he will do almost anything asked of him, because he has almost no loyalties.
--PERSONALITY: Despite his personality, he is not cruel or mean, but rather silly and excitable. He likes to have fun with what he does and constantly spends his time out and about vlogging or finding new places to be. He is physically average and cannot run or fight exceptionally well, as words are his weapon. Due to growing up neglected and often not believed, he can easily see through lies but obsessively digs for the truth. He is not selfish but comes across as self-centered, worried about himself and his own welfare before anything else, to the point where he will hold information over someone’s head or use them to get what he wants and feels very little empathy doing so, especially if he believes the person has no good intentions in the first place. Due to his love for his grandmother, he is very kind to the elderly people in the city, and is very polite and well-mannered until he’s set off. He is nosy and has no problem pestering people, especially if he believes that it will reveal something deeper or serve him in a way. Despite this, he does not blackmail or instigate with people he believes are innocent or bystanders. He struggles with his relationship with God after spending time with a religious foster family, and with his own neurodiversity, paying its fact very little attention. Oktober is intelligent but can make mistakes and be careless, he is not perfect nor is he inescapable; it’s fairly easy to outrun him in person. He is also slightly dumb of ass at times and has been sometimes described as a bit of a loser, give him a moment. His favorite things are music (particularly artists like ABBA), fruits, technology, sweet teas and lattes, gossip, horror movies, animals and soft pretzels. --GOALS:
