Is anyone else mourning the person they could have been with proper medical support? Like yeah I was academically gifted and doing well in school but had I been diagnosed earlier with the actual disability I have and had I been taken seriously from the start instead of being called lazy, I would have been able to do so much better and I wouldn't have had a burnout at 21 and maybe - just maybe - I would be at a different stage in life.

I'm not unsatisfied with where I am but I wonder what could have been if people had just listened to me instead of judging from my output. If anyone had just actually listened and cared, maybe I'd be a different person now, less scarred and better equipped to deal with life.
