Things I would add if I was in charge of FR and had One William Dollars (not an exhaustive list)
Note: These are mostly things I’d add, and don’t include major QoL things or reworking of current mechanics. Also quite a few of these are already popular ideas that have been bounced around before; I’m just bringing them up here, because I love them.
More tools like scythes (actual scythes, not the Arlo ones), sickles, brooms, shovels, pickaxes, hatchets, lassos, feather dusters, shepherd’s crooks, knitting needles, etc
Bride’s veils, bonus points if they match the bouquets
Instruments like trumpets, flutes,
Pearl jewelry, like actual strings of pearls. I’m thinking necklaces, earrings, garlands, etc. pearls come in a lot of fun colors.
Silks and wrappings like what Fiona and Glass/Gloss wear
Baskets with fruit, flowers, bread, papers, seashells, rocks, etc,
Nose rings as part of the simple jewelry sets
Spa day set - bathrobe, towel around the head, slippers, clay mask, cucumbers for the eyes, etc (I just think this would be silly)
Bells - cowbells, sleigh bells, etc
Carny apparel - straw hat, vest, cane, etc
Genes (divided into prim/sec pairs and terts)
Gingham/Picnic - like a picnic blanket
Treble/Bass - thin lines across the body/wings of the dragon like sheet music.
Maple/Oak - leafy veins, like on the undersides of leaves
Jelly/Jam - semi-transparent and looks like the dragon is made of jello. No organs or bones though; just jello. Wiggle wiggle :)
Parchment/Papyrus - gives the appearance of wrinkled/faded paper.
Tuxedo - a tert that gives a pattern like tuxedo cats
Axolotl - adds axolotl gills
Gothic - Banescales’ version of Deco/Ornaments. Adds a fancy thing to the wings shaped like a Gothic window so the secondary looks like the glass
Basically everything I wrote in this other post:
Scenes for the flight’s capitals (like the Hellwell Undercroft for Plague)
Something that frames the dragon and the familiar like they’re framed paintings on a wall
Effects (because they’re v underutilized right now)
Fire/smoke/smoldering, possibly even heat waves
Weather/seasonal effects like rain, wind, dancing leaves, snow, fog, etc
Sparks flying (would be perfect for machine/robotic dragons)
One that turns your dragon into a neon sign
Soap bubbles and suds like your dragon is getting a bath
Eyes (already made a post about this on my old blog, but I can’t find the post so I’m redoing it here)
Pearl - Like Faded/Pastel, but glassier and more opalescent
Gem - like having cut gemstones for eyes
Camera - lenses like a security camera
Lollipop - a mix of Button and Swirl, but in the colors of a lollipop
Heart - perfect for a Susie eye type
Suika type game - could be with elemental eggs instead of fruit
More recolors - I’m talking Scratch and Meditate in every color of the rainbow
Smite - Magic version of Eliminate
A kitchen/restaurant themed coliseum venue where you fight food mimics and Beastclan waitstaff. The boss can be the dishwasher or something
Food items that give you more points, like a higher leveled version of the Soylents we have right now
Pompeii/volcanic ash-themed digsite with gladiator apparel and centaur familiars
Meteor-themed digsite with astronaut apparel
Ancient Egypt/desert themed digsite (must be done respectfully)
Gold Rush-themed digsite with a suspicious amount of pyrite-themed items
A minigame where you strategically use your pickaxes and brushes to uncover something special like battle stones or gems (Idk how many people played Pokemon Diamond/Pearl but I’m thinking of the Underground thing if that gives you an idea)
Juvenile Starsweeper/Lesser Wisp recolor
Crystal Carrier/Orbiting Spirit recolor
Flora Cerdae/Maned Cerdae recolor
Golden/Silver Kitsune recolor
Sanguine Multimist/Sparksylph recolor
Festival Statues recolors
Cuckoo breed that has a chance to lay eggs in your nests and/or show up during random site interactions (like the Fathom scrolls)
Turtle breed that uses the shell as the secondary
Cockatrice breed (esp if it’s the neutral ancient, also made with Baldwin)
Food NPC that gives you some free food points once per day, and/or lets you exchange some non-food items for some food (a la Swipp, but with food)
Coliseum bounty hunter NPC that gives you little quests and rewards for defeating x amount of y enemies in the Coliseum— something to spice up the grind a little bit
Lair builder - This feature takes your lair and makes it fully buildable, expandable, and decorative. Has a variety of different environments (could be flight-centric, or could be more generic) and styles (house, den, castle, town, etc). Also full of decorations and things you can fill your space with.
Fishing mini game - Either a fairground game that gives you a decent hunk of treasure, or a trading post/grand exchange game that gives you food.
Farming - Just another opportunity to get food. You get seeds from gathering/trading post/coliseum/etc, and you plant them and water them every day (like incubating a nest).
Note: the fishing and farming minigames being used as food sources would imply there would be insect and meat counterparts. For insects, I’m picturing a feature where you set up hives and nets to lure in insects. As for meat… I’m not sure how down people would be for a hunting/trapping/butchering feature, but I don’t know of another way to get meat.
Cooking - If you have a lot of food in your hoard, you can put them in a cooking pot/oven a la Breath of the Wild and get something that refills 2 or more food types for more points. A little bit more bang for your buck.
