Lev Ward(-Blaiddyd)
The illegitimate son of Rufus Blaiddyd and a palace maid, born 1176. He was raised in poverty in Fhirdiad, and lived off of stealing from those that he felt deserved it. Despite his strong distaste for nobility, and more specifically, his father, he is more than willing to use his connection to the royal family to his own benefit. Bears a Major crest of Blaiddyd.
Likes: Music and theater, being seen as helpful, protecting others, sharing
Dislikes: Nobility, strong winters, hypocrites, wasting food, being told what to do

-Sreng is a polar desert, except for the small area where the Wind Caller resides. He had his dragon temper tantrum and it created a mini-desert, don't worry about it too much
-Speaking of the Wind Caller, it's kind of a rite of passage for teens in the area to try and piss him off and get away without getting caught. Surely this doesn't further affect his perception of humans
-It doesn't have a centralized government, instead most of the power is held within various clans who often make moves independently of (or directly in opposition with) each other. The attacks on Gautier territory are mostly by the same few clans, not taking the wishes of others into account
-They also vary a lot from group to group. Some clans decide leadership based on a vote, or on battle skills, or another method entirely.
-It IS possible to get the chiefs of each clan together in a room to strategize against invasions from Faerghus, but it lowkey sucks for everyone involved because they have yet to agree on anything ever and all wind up doing their own thing
-Clans are obligated to avenge or honor fallen members in any way the deceased saw fit (ex: a celebration, revenge against whoever wronged them, etc.)
-Sreng does hold their warriors in high regard and there's definitely a culture surrounding battle, but it's way overblown from what Faerghus tends to say about it. (They're only really interacting with them to fight, so they're only ever going to see soldiers)
-Sreng has a long history and culture surrounding bathhouses, and they are used regularly by most people. In general, there are very strong standards for hygiene, and there is a prevailing stereotype about Faerghans being unsanitary and overall stinky
-They have a solid trading agreement with Almyra, and bond over a shared dislike of Fódlan and love for warrior culture. Almyra is the reason Sreng has any spices at all (I like to think they traded weapons for cinnamon)
-The trading period is very short though, since the most popular port city, Rán, freezes over for about half the year
-Sports are very popular, including ice skating, wrestling, and ye olde hockey (great for Faerghus relations later down the line)
-Both tattoos and piercings are very common and ingrained into the culture; ears, belly buttons, noses, and tongue piercings being the most common. Something something physical proof of strength also it looks cool as hell something something (also goes along with the high hygienic standards, since you need to properly take care of yourself to heal it)
-No national religion, but the most popular beliefs include worshipping a pantheon of Gods for different things
-Oftentimes kids are sent to live with other families in different areas to foster better relationships between clans
-There were Nabateans in Sreng! They mostly minded their own damn business, but were not seen as holy or unholy, just a supernatural creature that should generally be avoided, since they are said to alter the fates of anyone they encounter.
