I'm reading old journal entries from when I was 16 and suicidal. It wasn't an impulsive attempt. In the weeks leading up to it, my entries are filled with silent goodbyes.

Buying Christmas gifts. Cleaning my room. Returning library books. Writing that note

In a way, I was grieving life. I don't think I wanted to die. I was a kid who couldn't cope.
