Review: The first mistake people made when reviewing this book was comparing it to Gone Girl. I’m sorry peasants, but no, nothing can be compared to Gone Girl. When people compare a book to Gone Girl, I spend the entire time reading the book just waiting for the entire floor to fall through just like in Gillian Flynn’s incredible thriller.
False advertising ladies and gents, false advertising.
Putting that point aside, I liked this book but didn’t loooove it like everyone else does apparently. Maybe they just haven't read any really good books in a while? Not sure. But there was never a point in this book where I was like HOLY SHIT WHAT’S GONNA HAPPEN NEXT I CANNOT STOP. TURNING... THE..... PAGE.....
No, no. I found myself very willing and able to quit turning pages, and put Rachel, the annoying alcoholic out of my head for a bit. Okay. I’m being harsh. This really was a good read, and I finished it in about two days. There was a good twist at the end, but I wasn’t all that shocked. I think what put a sour taste in my mouth about this read was the main character, Rachel. I just wanted to grab her by the shoulders and shake her until she got some sense knocked into her. Like helllooo I know you have a drinking problem, and I get that is actually a big thing to overcome but YOU ARE CURRENTLY UNSURE IF YOU KILLED A PERSON OR NOT SO GET YOUR LIFE TOGETHER PLEASE.
Being harsh again. And a little insensitive. (Sorry).
Anyways, I know this review sounds super negative so here is a better review in just a few words:
Good book.
Read it.
You won’t regret it.

Review: Based on the title I originally thought this book would be so cheesy, and geared more toward an older audience. However, I was very wrong. This book grabbed me in from page one and I devoured it in less than 48 hours. Without giving away too much information, the book follows the lives of 3 different women, who are all different ages and live different lives. Moriarty does an excellent job tying all of the characters in at the end, and creating a masterpiece full of suspense and drama. There were moments in the book where I caught myself thinking ‘...Oh I sooo know what is going to happen next...’. And nope. I was never right. I have realized I have a knack for guessing the ending of books but Liane Moriarty put my ability to the test and I failed, miserably. I am still contemplating whether I liked the ending of this book or not but it was an enjoyable read. Basically, it was one of those books that I brought along with me everywhere in hopes that I would have 5 minutes to spare throughout my day where I could whip it out and read a few chapters. Definitely makes me what to read more by this author.

Review: There needs to be a warning sign on the front cover of this book in blinking, bold letters that this book is completely different from Fault in Our Stars, another John Green novel. Fault in Our Stars is one of my all-time favorite books. I can’t emphasize that enough. All. Time. Favorite. Book.... Ever. Okay, not ever. But it is definitely in the top 5. It dragged you in on page one and held onto you until you were sobbing uncontrollably. So -- going into Paper Towns I thought YES another masterpiece by the wonderful John Green. Ladies and gentlemen, lads and ladies, DO NOT THINK THIS BEFORE YOU START THIS BOOK. I know everyone has been raving over this bad boy but MAN I just don’t see it. I was bored... It seemed unrealistic, predictable, and just down right not interesting. I had to force myself to read this book. I’m not saying it was bad. But it was just not my taste. I didn’t connect with any of the characters, and there was no point where I caught myself unable to put the book down. Instead I caught myself putting the book down quite frequently, to be honest. I was disappointed with this read, but I have already started eyeing Looking For Alaska, in hopes that I can put my faith back in Mr. Green.
