So after my last contest, I wanted to try and be more involved with my local shop. So they were doing another contest, this time minture of month was one of the categories. So I couldn't help myself, so turns out I needed another mega nob. So we will see how I do, as always feedback is welcome. Hope you have a great day!

Entered my first contest, pictures aren't great and bit of a repost. I came 5th out of 20, which definitely better than expected.

I'm currently starting to get ready for another and was wondering if anyone, had any tips on getting ready? I spoke to the judge and got some good tips to improve, is there anything anyone has found helpful?

So I saw I cool mock up of this conversion floating around shortly after leviathan dropped and thought yes gotta make it let's go, then I spent way too long sourcing a hammer and hand flamer ... someone explain why they're always out of stock on bit sites please, then and here's the amazing part of the story I spent roughly 6 hours in him..... Like this quality can't be legal in that time right,

Are there things to improve? probably, will I? No because perfection sucks and being happy with your work doesn't

Fuck perfection, work for yourself, high end artists don't define your work we all grow at our own pace,

I CAN BUILD MINIS AGAIN!!!

Still gonna mostly be working on sewing while the rest of my room gets put back in place. But for now! I have built some old forgeworld and some new stargrave. Got the stargrave in anticipation of a kitbash I wanna do for a new OC, making a bunch of coworkers and buddies for my gorilla Alex. Also used the Necromunda nobleman body as a base for my bfg admiral! It's just a head swap, but that's all I really need for a fantastic morale mini. I might come up with lore when I get around to painting her.

why you should keep writing your story

because it’s a puzzle no one else will ever arrange the same way as you.

because there are ideas that simply won’t come to you until you write down the wrong words.

because all the bad scenes are the bones of the wonderful scenes.

because someone will love it: someone will read it once, and twice, and thrice; someone will ramble to you about the complexity of it; someone will doodle your characters out of love; someone will find it in exactly what they were looking for with or without knowing it.

because they have things to say, your characters. they’ve told you all those secrets and they have more to tell you, if you will listen.

because you love it even when you don’t; even when it drives you mad or when it accidentally turns into apathy; even when you think you’re doing it all wrong; you love it, and it loves you back.

because you can get a treasure even from things that go wrong; because if a story crumbles down you can build a shinier one on the same spot; because you won’t know where it will take you until it takes you there.
