"Blue" is an ongoing fictitious journey, narrated by an accomplished American student, Ben Mercier, who studies literature and writing in Lyon, France. Things seem to change for Ben all at once, however, on the rapid train ride from Rome to Naples, where he has been spending his Winter vacation. Almost out of nowhere, it seems, he has been struck by a concept he has feared his entire life: Love at First Sight, when a hauntingly beautiful (and equally as enigmatic) Florentine man, by the nickname of Blue, takes the very same train.
