I can't stop thinking about how the photos we've seen so far from The Life Of A Showgirl feel a bit like Last Night in Soho. There's a lot of bright colors and glamour but also some interesting expressions and lighting choices. Her expressions in certain photos feel to me less happy and more calculated, uncomfortable, or braced for something to happen.

In the film, we follow a teenage girl who wants to be a fashion designer. She ends up essentially watching the life of a showgirl unfold. At first, it's so bright and beautiful and glamorous, so inspirational to our main character. But over time we see more of the behind the scenes and the tone becomes overwhelmingly ominous as we slowly see what horrible things are are happening to make the showgirl life possible.
