He does a LOT...

Murdoc takes advantage that Lyric is a smart guy, so what Lyric does for the band are multiple tasks! He helps with the technical part of the band, he helps with recordings, he writes letters and important documents for gorillaz, he also helps with schedules, he repairs stuff that it's important for the band and works in their stages behind stage, he also sometimes deals with the people that visits Kong Studios. Which is funny because he is a programmer that does everything except that in his work.

Why did you pair Lyric with Murdoc? People more commonly pair their OCs with 2D

I pair him with him because..

I thought their relationship was going to be really interesting, they have a really different personality and I like how their life styles are so different from each other. I like the trope where the couple only has like 1 o 2 things in common and I like it when their personalities are so different but yet somehow manage to get along in some way, more if it's complex!

Hello! How did Murdoc and lyric meet?

It's a long story..

It all started back in 2001 with Murdoc getting tired of the computers going crazy in Kong Studios, so the best option for him was finding someone who could work with computers!

Lyric on his apartment office, received the email with Murdoc asking him to help and offering as payment good money. Lyric that time was desperate for money because he was having problems with the rent, so he immediately accepted without checking if the location was safe. When he got there, let's say he kinda regretted accepting the job because the first thing he saw was Murdoc in his "normal" state.

To not make it longer, when lyric did his work, let's say he kinda got lost so he decided to leave the building using the stairs route! At there Murdoc was smoking and well Lyric didn't saw him so Murdoc stopped his cig to scare lyric as a joke....that went bad because lyric got really scared and ended up falling downstairs. After that basically what happened is "you work for me, you don't sue me = You get Good money + free Room"
