unwiinds:
when delainey looked back at her relationships, she always looked back with a bitter taste in her mouth. she was always the one who loved too hard, who held too tightly. the situation between ryn and herself had been no different. she was convinced that sheâd been too invested in the relationship, and often wondered if ryn ever really felt the same. sometimes, when sheâd look into the other femaleâs eyes, sheâd see it. ryn cared for her. then there were other times where sheâd see an angry person who didnât know how to love. currently, delainey could only see a memory, a shell of the girl sheâd fallen in love with. âwork? what kind of work?â the brunette asked, head tilted to the side. this was the last place she wanted to run into ryn. they were in public, and granted, this aisle was empty, but that could easily change. out of habit, delainey reached into rynâs cart and took a couple of the bottles out before putting them in her own cart without speaking. âwriting. work. not sleeping, you know â nothing out of the ordinary,â she chewed on her lesser lip, trying to work out the questions she had, but all that ended up coming out was, âare you okay?â
perhaps it was true that ryn didnât know how to love anyone. it had been a common complaint most of her life. she was okay in the beginning, she could charm people but when it came down for the other person to actually catch feelings ryn was probably already gone. but if ryn was going to be honest with herself she had known that lainey was different, because she stayed longer than she was supposed to. because ryn was like clockwork, she knew herself way too well to know when it was time for her to leave. ryn was cold, and she could be heartless, and often times incredibly angry, but she had felt everything so deeply, that sometimes she didnât know what to do with it. and she knew that it was selfish of her to get into relationships with people and not promise to give them anything back. watching her take bottles out she had eyed her and looked away, trying to keep her cool. she was a bit of a mess lately but she had to get through this week, and then she would be doing an underground tournament and be able to pay this weeks rent with the money that she got for winning -- because she knew that she would win. âright,â ryn said with a nod of the head, she didnât sleep her. it was rare that ryn got a good amount of sleep though she knew that lainey was a bit different. âyeah,â she said with a nod, âiâm fine.â
