Tsukishima is a golden child, not quite the brightness of the sun like that of the decoy upon Karasuno’s team, but a different light. He shines the way the moon does ( not the stars because that is someone else’s light ) and it is a soft, pale light. Waning, waxing, crescent moonlight. A gold that matches the other’s hair and eyes. So when the other hesitates to turn around, he figures the injury must be on his face. Taichi’s gaze instantly shifts to the bright red that is on the other’s face ( a foreign color like that of a red moon ). To be honest, Taichi had been hoping for a split lip because that would have been easier to take care of, but this is a broken nose. At least, he is very sure is a broken nose. The second year clicks his tongue, frown evident now upon his usual blank face.
By all means, he is not angry, nor is he annoyed. Such things can be cleaned. The blood on the floor of the gym, the blood on his clothes, and the nose. That is, Tsukishima would have to see a doctor for that. There is, however, a switch that flicks itself on at the sight of blood. There is anger, not at Tsukishima, but the person responsible for such an injury ( for daring to touch someone on his team ). The middle blocker motions for him to sit, preferably on the toilet seat and not leaning against the sink, as he comes forward. He grabs a couple of paper towels, ones that will have to do for now until he can get the first year situated before he gets nicer, softer cloth towels. Taichi motions with a tilt of his own head, to show the other what he wants him to do. It’s best to stop the bleeding by elevating, even better for when the boy’s nose starts to swell. For once he doesn’t find the medical knowledge he has picked up from his father ( the man that has been drilling this into his head ) useless. Already he makes a list of things he’ll need before they go to the hospital. That is, assuming his teammate would go.
He doesn’t like relying on people for help - doesn’t like it when people see him when he’s weak (pathetic rings in his mind, and he’s long since associated that word with flashes of short blond hair, a bright smile, a cluster of lies) but that’s very much unavoidable as he shifts his gaze away from his upperclassman’s eyes. His nose is a constant stream of pain, and he tries not to touch his fingers to his clothes - he still has school to go through, and he would rather cause any suspicions - especially if they end up seeing another member of the team.
Tsukishima doesn’t argue with the command - he silently sits on a toilet despite initial disgust, and he tilts his head back as Kawanishi-san wants. He’s heard from listening in during changing or on the bus that his father was a doctor, and he’d rather get this over with faster than sooner. The less time he wastes - the better, and he can get out of this situation.
He tries not to get too involved with his teammates - or rather, anyone. His class has accepted that Tsukishima, despite being incredibly intelligent, is not going to open up to anyone about who he is, or why he’s here, and have ceased to bother him unless it’s with the rare question. He’s fine with that - the less people he makes friends with, the less he has to worry about.
( After all, he’s already haunted by leaving Yamaguchi behind. )
“ ... I have to go to the hospital, don’t I? “
He starts thinking of how he’s going to explain that to his parents.
