TODAY’S WEATHER FORECAST WILL CONSIST OF UNDERBOOB SWEAT
★ -- Our muses get stuck in an abandoned building
Of course, Daisuke would never think visiting an abandoned building on Halloween would be a bad idea by any means. In fact, Halloween is the holiday specifically made for exploring treacherous and dilapidated places. It’s more fun with the scary atmosphere! Unfortunately, Hadyn’s spouse is a lame-o and Ken is working late. Daisuke has had cabin fever and Hadyn is a bad influence, so the combined forces of their boredom and disregard for the sensible is what inevitably leads them to one of the condemned buildings of Solitude; an old factory, with boarded up windows and no trespassing signs posted around a barbed wire fence. It’s quick work getting inside; literally, all they had to do was ignore the signs and break the lock. A layer of dust coats the floor, and a rusted catwalk hangs overhead. Factory equipment lines the walls, but all of it appears to be out of commission. The building creaks and the boards moan against the wind outside; but then a sudden gust blows the heavy metal door shut right behind them.
Daisuke runs to the door, but with the broken lock, the metal jams itself into the frame and he can’t pry it open.
“Damn...! Hey, you’re good at making fire! Blow this open!”
...Oh. But it’s metal...
He huffs and slumps himself against the door. He’s about to reach for his phone to call Ken, when he hears a shuffling and a metallic thunk from up ahead. He glances up just in time to see a pair of beady yellow eyes against a shadow, before the shape scurries off.
Ken is trying so hard to cheer Daisuke up, but he has just the right amount of nerve left to pout anyway. “Whatever…I guess. At least you’re stuck here with me. I can’t complain about that.” Daisuke pulls himself to his feet, shuffling after Ken to throw on his jacket and a pair of sneakers–unlike Ken, he’s not a sissy he doesn’t have anything fancy like waterproof shoes.
“Sounds tempting, heh. Clothes are always optional.” Except for when it’s, you know, illegal. He grins and waits until their outside before popping open the umbrella, and takes Ken’s hand as he pulls him close underneath. Height difference makes it brush against the top of Ken’s head, and Daisuke entertains himself by building up a bit of static in Ken’s hair.
He looks down at Daisuke’s shoes with a quick shake of his head “We need to get you rain boots” just don’t complain when you come home with a soaker… Although maybe that doesn’t even matter.
It doesn’t take long before he’s taking the umbrella from Daisuke- Not to get it to stop rubbing against his head, but to down right close it, holding it against his side and letting the rain fall on their heads.
Hope you enjoyed the stray hairs while you could
“Hope you don’t mind a little water~” because sometimes you just need to do something that’s considered a little crazy. “The good thing about this though is it’s quiet, even the crazy people want to stay inside where it’s dry”
Aw--too bad. Daisuke snickers, and swings their arms as they walk.
“It’s just a little rain, anyway. It’s not like it’s pouring, and I can appreciate it even more knowing that there’s no one but us around.” A little rain, yes, but it had been pouring earlier. There are wide puddles everywhere, but Daisuke walks right through them, ignoring how his socks are getting soaked as he goes out of his way to take heavy steps just to splash Ken.
“Huh? Oh…” It’s so unlike Daisuke to brood. He must not be very good at it, either, since Ken seems to be so easily concerned about it. Mentally, he notes to himself to at least try not to make this sort of a thing into a habit, although he secretly enjoys the extra attention.
“Yeah, yeah…didn’t mean to make you worry, or anything. I’m just bummed out. The weather sucks, too. This whole island sucks. Whaddya wanna do? I swear I’ve beaten every high score on every game I own already…”
Please, EVERYONE is going to notice if the sun got just a little duller, and it was no different when it was his little ball of sunshine being clouded over.
Nuzzling into his hair he gives a small smile, maybe Daisuke can see it reflected in the window. “We went from the bustling city of Tokyo, able to travel and adventure between TWO worlds, and now we’re stuck on an island that you could fit into Tokyo at least twice, you have less space, less freedom, it’s like trying to cage a wild bear.” He moves away, heading for the door and grabbing some water proof shoes before turning to smile at him again.
“Why don’t we go for a walk in the rain? Maybe a good soak through and some warm cocoa and cuddles will be good for us” he waves for him to come, a sly smile tugging at his lips “Clothes is optional for that last part”

DID SOMEONE SAY BOOTY
That moment when it’s raining too much to do anything and your boyfriend is slowly becoming an evil tree and you just wanna go home because everybody on this rock is any combination of clinically insane with violent tendencies and going outside doesn’t even have its original appeal because the whole time you’re thinking, what am I willing to put up with today? and that line of tolerance is getting shorter and shorter because, fuck, you’re looking at being stuck here for an indefinite amount of time and you didn’t think your whole life would ever lead up to this, you could still follow your dreams of becoming a master chef with your own ramen cart but how is that gonna fix your attitude when in all likelihood it might get set aflame or vandalized; and then your existence is lessened to a background character that screams at the destruction, a la, “MY CABBAGES!” only… it’s a noodle cart. This is your life now. What do you do.
“You look to lost in thought, I feel like I should be worried”
Okay listen, he’s always been a bit of a jerk so evil tree isn’t TO far from normal, is it? He goes over though, placing his chin atop Daisuke’s head, arms around his shoulders as he watched the rain patter against the window.
He soon tilts his head down though, leaving a little kiss among messy red hair. “Try not to drive yourself insane, okay? Only one of us needs to be batshit crazy. Maybe we can find something new to do though…”
“Huh? Oh...” It’s so unlike Daisuke to brood. He must not be very good at it, either, since Ken seems to be so easily concerned about it. Mentally, he notes to himself to at least try not to make this sort of a thing into a habit, although he secretly enjoys the extra attention.

Daisuke is almost offended that Ken has to mark him to tell him apart from his double. Then again, Daisuke would need some sort of visual cue, too–luckily, Ken’s double is basically Kaiser. Actually, that’s not very lucky at all. Daisuke #2 fidgets uncomfortably at being addressed, but it’s clear that he’s also angry with what’s happening.
“Sh-shut up. Piss off. I don’t like your attitude…or your hair. Or your face. Someone must have skipped over the ugly stick with you and walloped you with the entire ugly tree.”
For once, original Daisuke is speechless. He can’t believe he heard that come from ‘his’ mouth, and at Ken, of all people, even if it isn’t ‘his’ Ken.
“NO ONE TALKS TO KEN LIKE THAT! NOT EVEN ME!”
Daisuke pushes past Ken(s) and goes right for his own double, slamming him down to the ground and wailing on him with his fists.
Please don’t be offended, ken is already have some disillusion problems, it’s just to make sure incase he goes crazy again, okay?
Both of the Ken’s sort of end up standing there, watching the chaos unfold. He was going to IGNORE his double for a second to go pull Daisuke off of his with a sigh “Oi, okay listen here, we’ll just ignore whatever they say and not take it personally. Lets just get everyone home so we can sort this out there”
God damn… He had been so hopeful for the day too. “You grab your double I’ll grab-” okay where the fuck did Kaiser 2.0 go. He does not want whatever monstrosity currently wading through solitude to exist “Just… Get your other self home, tie him up in a closet or something I need to go find my other self before he murders someone”
Daisuke continues to swing his arms, even as he’s pulled away from his double, who only spits on the ground as he rubs his rapidly swelling face.
“I’m gonna kick this little punk’s ass if he runs his mouth again! I’m--” Daisuke stops his yammering long enough to recognize the very dangerous reality that Ken’s double is, well, dangerous, and leaving him to his own devices could potentially mean catastrophe.
“I’ll help you find that tyrant. I don’t want him running loose any more than you two do,” Daisuke’s double speaks up with effort through a split lip.
“...Alright,” Daisuke breathes out a harsh sigh, reaching for Daisuke #2 and yanking him roughly to his feet, “but no more funny business, or I’ll break your face some more.” The doppleganger nods, wincing and looking all sincere. Daisuke is satisfied enough with that response, and releases the doppleganger to stand on his own.
“It might be safer if we came along, Ken. We don’t know what this version of you is capable of.” Daisuke says out of concern, though it probably sounds tactless when phrased like that.
It didn’t take long for Daisuke to come into contact with his doppleganger, either. It took even less time for him to find Ken and his doppleganger. Daisuke wastes no time to be at Ken’s side, dragging him away from the other Ken like he was some dangerous animal.
“Ken, just forget about it, let’s get away from them! This is freaking me out!”
Daisuke’s double followed along slowly, glancing up at Ken’s double and looking away with a little shudder.
“…Just…f-forget about me, huh…?” he says quietly, frowning.
Okay, there was EVEN LESS differences between Daisuke and his double. Quickly pulling a marker out of his bag he writes “Mine” on the redhead before marching back towards his own double because that fucker was starting to walk away
“No way! Help me tackle my double down he’s going to hurt someone” Daisuke’s seemed very… Apathetic so maybe he wouldn’t be a problem?
“Yes well, you are kind of the odd man out in our little group. If it wasn’t for Takeru and Hikari you’d be the only one without any brains around, but you can be useful, if you’d like to come with me?” oh dear…
Ken just looks at Daisuke like ‘I am so sorry’ trying to think of what to do. He can’t let this guy go walking around the island like he owns the place “We need rope… Maybe I can call Hadyn and ask for one of those IOU’s”
You know, at least on the bright side it seems their digimon didn’t get duplicated so there wont be any worry of giant ass dragon destroying the island?
Daisuke is almost offended that Ken has to mark him to tell him apart from his double. Then again, Daisuke would need some sort of visual cue, too--luckily, Ken’s double is basically Kaiser. Actually, that’s not very lucky at all. Daisuke #2 fidgets uncomfortably at being addressed, but it’s clear that he’s also angry with what’s happening.

Daisuke pushes past Ken(s) and goes right for his own double, slamming him down to the ground and wailing on him with his fists.
You know, when he joked he’d sleep with himself, this is not what he meant.
Currently staring down his doppelganger cause OH BOY he can see the murder in his eyes “Look, I don’t know how you came into existence but you are NOT allowed to go around threatening to hurt people”
His other self stared back, before giving an all to familiar grin “I’d like to see you stop me”
Well shit, he is VERY much regretting joining in on this ‘egg hunt’.
It didn’t take long for Daisuke to come into contact with his doppleganger, either. It took even less time for him to find Ken and his doppleganger. Daisuke wastes no time to be at Ken’s side, dragging him away from the other Ken like he was some dangerous animal.

Daisuke’s double followed along slowly, glancing up at Ken’s double and looking away with a little shudder.
“...Just...f-forget about me, huh...?” he says quietly, frowning.
That didn’t sound good. Daisuke had actually just gotten back from running errands when he heard the banging around coming from inside the apartment. As he had feared, Ken’s condition was gradually getting worse–no longer were they able to keep it stable by their means alone. Daisuke could feel the dread mounting against him, but he couldn’t let that drag him down now. Ken needs him. Entering the apartment only made that same dread heavier to carry. V-mon was already ahead of him, seeking out Wormmon, leaving Daisuke with a locked bedroom door.
No… Please don’t shut me out again.
“Ken? It’s me! What’s going on?!” Daisuke sounds a bit angrier than intended, his voice laced with panic as he pounds on the door with his fist.
Wormmon just ended up apologizing quietly to Veemon, explaining that he had accidentally woken Ken up, but was more worried than hurt. After all he knew this wasn’t Ken and he wasn’t taking it personally.
Hearing Daisuke’s voice he paused, debating on if he wanted to answer the door or not.
Really, he just felt like going back to sleep, regret slowly creeping up on him as he realized he had just hurt Wormmon, again, who deserved it the least in the world. Shivering despite being in a sweater, he knew he wasn’t going to be able to sleep, Daisuke would bang on that door for a month straight if he had to.
Going over to open it he couldn’t look at him, instead staring at his feet as he just stood there.
“…. Sorry I had an outburst.” he felt the guilt heavy on his shoulders, hugging his arm to his chest. “I was just… Going to go back to sleep, hopefully I’ll feel better when I wake up” only, in all honesty he’s been asleep for almost 2 days now, only waking up long enough to eat and drink and other such things.
He figures if he just sleeps, he can’t hurt anyone.
It is a relief to see that Ken is still okay--at least, physically. Daisuke didn’t know what else to expect. It’s not like his company has helped Ken, or anything else he has done so far. Admittedly, Daisuke is at his wits end with trying to figure this out, though it has only proven that all of his attempts to help Ken stay sane have been futile. His relief is quickly replaced with frustration, and then at the realization of what had happened with Wormmon--he is beside himself. Without thinking, Daisuke grabs Ken by the shoulders and shakes him--not hard, but enough to punctuate what he is saying. “You’re still accountable, Ken! You don’t get to take it out on others! I know it’s hard but you’re not getting better this way!”
His volume increases with each word, and maybe he is gripping a little harder than he means to. He doesn’t know what he hopes to accomplish; his own suppressed emotions are guiding him now.
“You’ve been doing nothing but sleep... You can’t keep running away like this. We’re not getting anywhere!”
Festivities? What festivities.
Unless kicking Wormmon across the apartment and slamming the bedroom door shut counts there’s no festivities here.

“Ken? It’s me! What’s going on?!” Daisuke sounds a bit angrier than intended, his voice laced with panic as he pounds on the door with his fist.
“Somewhere, some asshole is sitting in front of the AC wrapped up in a blanket because it’s ‘too cold.’ “I wanna be that asshole!”
from here Daisuke stares right back, searching the other’s face with skepticism but withholding any animosity towards the guy. It’s not that big of a deal--he was obviously flirting and now feeling awkward knowing Daisuke already has a partner. The typical evasive strategy for being caught red-handed; something Daisuke had familiarized himself with over and over--until Ken, of course.
“Motomiya Daisuke. Don’t worry ‘bout it. It wouldn’t be the first time, anyway, heh heh.” This is technically true; Ken being the ‘first time.’ “What a way to say hello, huh? Glad I could help you find your way if you were lost before!” Daisuke laughs.
⊗ Sneakily touches the butt
Whothefuck--As if Daisuke really needs the ego boost, but it feels strange and wrong for someone else that isn’t Ken to go right ahead and touch his butt.
“Oi--! My butt’s too good to not already belong to someone else, man.”

11. My character will watch a movie with yours.
Daisuke hasn’t been around goat mom all that much--not as much as community mom, anyway, but he knew that Keahi in particular might not have had the same attention that community mom got on Mother’s Day. Or maybe she did. Daisuke wasn’t sure, but figured Keahi could do with some cheering up as she had the tendency to look kind of bummed out every time he saw her.
That’s how he ended up watching Tangled with her, anyway--plus a couple of Adam Sandler movies, a horror flick, and a couple of rom-coms for good measure.
“Hey, fam, uhhh...lemme know if you wanna do anything else, yeah?” Somehow this became a marathon...oh well. As long as goat mom’s happy.
