Unfortunately, no. Youâd think people would have common sense and move off the dance floor if there wanting that kind of thing, but apparently not.
I can sort of see a kiss happening "in the moment," but once it gets to a certain point it just becomes a nuisance to other people.Â
Donât get me wrong, the party is good, Iâm just not too fond of the excessive amounts of PDA going on all around me.
Isn't there, er...a designated area for that sort of thing? There should be.
The only thing I can possibly imagine is teaching, which sounds like a nightmare to me, but I still have an appreciation for everyone who does. I think so long as you love what you do and youâre living comfortably, then do whatever you want to do. You gotta do you, after all.
The way I see it, Iâm not one of those burned out college students stressing over everything and thatâs all that matters. Good, Iâm depending on you to cheer me up if Iâm ever sad, then.
I look at teaching as a fallback, for basically any major. Because someone's gotta teach each subject, of course. That's the goal slash dream slash whatever of college, I think. At least for me.

Ah! But I actually like history, though. Also, war veterans are such unsung heroes. Thereâs this line from my favorite book and it says: âDonât forget those who fell during the night.âÂ
I...like it. Sorta. Learning about wars isn't typically my favourite, though. I just have a nifty calendar that keeps me up to date on these things. And what book might that be?
I figured as much from the way all the Criminology students have been sniffing around campus like bloodhounds. Profs arenât going to say itâs extra credit, but everyone just assumes it would be, if they somehow managed to solve the whole murder on their own.
Iâd bet my bank account on the probability that your major is nowhere near the most interesting thing about you. I mean, thereâs not much in there, but still. As for the board games, Iâm offended that youâd think I was kidding- Iâm feared around these parts for my Battleship skills.
I'd be supportive if I thought everyone actually cared, but it's all about the grade or somehow proving that you're the best Crim major. And it's not a competition. Plus someone from this school really lost her life. Anyways, I'm just a freshman, I wouldn't even know where to begin with solving a real-life murder.Â

I don't think most people think much about it. There isn't even that much of an emphasis on it in America. Maybe in high school, depending on where you went. I'm rambling, but what I mean is, don't worry about it.

According to the rest of Alcott, it might just be us that think that. Itâs funny you use the word âaggressiveâ to describe your state of independence, but I feel the same way. Yet I would be scared to spend my first Thanksgiving without my mom and sisters.
Don't get me wrong, coffee is practically a miracle worker, but I like to have that on top of getting actual sleep. I just like the way it sounds, not so sure on the accuracy of my using it. Just another reason why I'm not an English major. Even if I lived in Antarctica, I'd fly to my parents for Thanksgiving.

Really, Criminology? Never wouldâve pegged you for it. But I bet itâs been a weird semester for you guys- has the murder become like, one giant class project?
I know better than to assume. I mean- youâre a Criminology major, youâre already full of surprises. But if itâs a tame party you want, itâs a tame party youâll get. Tame parties are my specialty. I have an impressive arsenal of board games that Iâve acquired just for tame parties.
Believe it or not, I get that a lot. Er...sort of. The professors aren't like, "go solve that murder case, guys!" If anything they want us to forget about it. But everyone's still trying to figure it out, anyways, of course. I'm not going out of my way, personally. I want the guilty party to be brought to justice, but it's just all so...too close for comfort-y.
I'm not going to say that my major is the most interesting thing about me because I hope that's not true, but...I'm almost 99% sure you're kidding but I love board games.
No way, itâll last years. Itâll be one of those seat-filler shows, you know? Like a half hour comedy thats on every night and the jokes are always the same but people watch it cause thereâs nothing else on. Like..Everybody Loves Raymond, but all about this guy and his kegs.
Ohhhh! In that case, I can see it becoming a national treasure. It'll be a staple of American television programming.
I donât think I ever would either. Iâm probably the only person that would rather sacrifice their social life out of the three, to be fair. Iâve never thought about it like that, but itâs completely true. Imagine how much less scary it is to skydive for the second time. I know you donât need my opinion about the subject, but itâs kind of become just another social construct that itâs unacceptable to live at home with your parents past eighteen.
It's hard to do those other things without sleep, is that just me?? That's the best comparison I've heard for...anything, ever. I wouldn't exactly mind it. Or maybe I world? But I don't think it's bad or anything like that. I'm something like aggressively independent.
