RWBY VOLUME 7 SPOILERS 🐝

This episode was amazing!! I loved it so much and I’m so hype about the next episode!! The bees had a real conversation for plot and I’m like akskdjakdnsnnsn

Look how close and personal those shots are framed.

It’s just their faces. 

While it emphazised their expressions (which are no doubt important here), such close-ups are most of the time used to produce closeness to the characters (from the perspective of the viewer) AND also between the characters.

It’s even closer than a close-up usually is.

I could go into how it cuts back and forth between them and you see nothing but their faces and how that creates a very intimate space just between the two, because it is something just the two of them can even discuss, because only the other would understand what they have gone through and what it means to them (especially Blake) and how Yang understands that even though Adam was a shitty person (understatement of the year) Blake still cared about him once and she still feels guitly over what she had to do (not saying that Yang doesn’t feel guilty too, she just didn’t have a ‘good’ connection with Adam before). And I could go into that the framing suggests how close they are not only on a personal level but on an emotional one too and how they immediately empathize with the other, know what their thoughts are and what they are feeling, just how strong their bond is in general.

…yeah, I just…wanted to point that out. (Gotta do something with the stuff I study.)

Small thought I just had. What if Yang got drunk at a dance club and maybe...just maybe...Blake had to help her home. But Yang is this flirty drunk. So she’s flirting with Blake and Blake is getting all flustered
