Wow okay. Cutting right to the case, he sat up in bed a little, then fully. Crossing his legs and leaning over a little to get a better look at her before looking back down at he floor. How was he supposed so say, ‘Ey we slung your ex from his penitentiary a week ago but he dosen’t want to see you because he’s being a pussy’ nicely? These were moments when a blunt would really come in handy. But Minyoung had to be handled carefully. She was Minchan’s version of Lu. Except… Minyoung had never abandoned Minchan. That had ended up being the other way around. Okay so… no smoking but… he could sneak a little scotch into his soda and that would probably work fine. Yep.
“No drink then?” he asked as he got up and went over to the kitchen, he poured himself some grape soda, and when he was pretty sure Minyoung wasn’t looking, dropped a bit too much alcohol into his cup as well. He went back to his bed, sat down and took a big sip before looking up at her again. “He misses you a lot you know… it’s kinda not fair.” he laughed a bit to himself, a light, half-hearted chuckle that died halfway out of his mouth. There were truth in those words that he didn’t enjoy speaking. He didn’t enjoy sharing Minchan. Jae just didn’t enjoy sharing in general, but when things got close to his heart, he hated sharing them. But with Minchan… he was a person… he really didn’t have a choice.
“He tries to hide it you know, but you do CFs with Hyunwoo right? I’ll turn the TV on to watch ‘im and you’ll be there… he turns it right off.” Jae shrugged a little… then paused. “I think you should talk to ‘im y’know. Re-connect or whatever.” he paused, and took another - long - drink from the spiked soda. “I du’know, get ‘im to smile again.” he bit his lip glancing up at her and meeting her gaze, “Cause I must be a shitty as friend because I can’t even get him to do that for very long.”
It didn’t take much for Minyoung to realize that Minchan was back; in fact, in the back of her mind, she knew. From the day Minchan had went in for his sentence she had been counting. But as days turned into weeks and weeks turned into long months, the actress just couldn’t keep up. She began receiving lovecalls from various broadcasting companies and as time went on, her schedules were becoming more and more tight. However, this didn’t mean she forgot about Minchan. No, far from it. When her days were slow and calm enough for her to think for herself, her mind always wandered back to him -- despite the ache she felt when she did so. Any now looking around the apartment like this, she can feel the traces of him lingering. Yeah, she knew he was back.
Minyoung wasn’t aware that her mind had wandered off until she saw Jae sit back down on his bed in front of her, a drink in his hand. Her attention was now on him and his words, a bit taken back at what the band leader was saying. She didn’t expect Minchan to miss her, not after the way he had broken up with her a year ago. But then again, Minchan was never outright with his feelings. Although he was rational most of the time, in certain situations, he would allow his emotions get the better of him -- forcing him to do -- well, irrational things in order to protect those he cares about. If what Jae was saying true, then Minchan got what he wanted. However, that didn’t mean that the pain wasn’t still there.
“Jae...” The actress sighed after hearing his words, pausing briefly as she tried to gather the words she wanted to say. “You’re not a bad friend... In fact, you’re probably one of the most loyal people I know. Even if it’s not something you want, you still go out of your way to make things right. You have good intentions, Jae, and I know Minchan sees that. I do...” She bit her lip before continuing, her fists bundling the hem of her shirt tightly. “As for Minchan and I, I want to see him again. I really do... At least, to gain some closure on things if we can’t make things work again... I’d give anything for that.”
“...But if he truly refuses to see me, then what more can I do?”
