OK I NEVER ACTUALLY WROTE DOWN TIM’S TIMELINE SO HERE’S THE SHORTISH VERSION //

- Moves to helios from one of the edens, and began working for hyperion in a low position in the tech department. A few months in, he sees Jack’s ad for a wanted bodydouble. Tim, thinking ‘hey it can’t be THAT bad right?’ and desperately needing the money that comes with it, decides to go with it. Honestly, he doesn’t expect to get the job.

- Surprise! He gets the job, and not long after he’s put through hell of extensive surgeries. Recovery takes months, and looking in the mirror or hearing his voice for the first time isn’t a fun experience.

- Tim works as Jack’s bodydouble for almost four years. Mostly it’s doing Jack’s jobs outside the office, or on Pandora or Elpis. 

- Then, he answers the call to Helios when it’s under attack. The events of the pre-sequel happen.

- After the Vault, Tim returns to Helios with Jack. Things are different, Tim starts to doubt and disagree with Jack more and more. He keeps doing his job, unable to find a way out.

- Eventually, about a year before BL2, Tim leaves. He goes to do a mission on Pandora as usual, but betrays Hyperion and Jack. He takes out two of Hyperion’s goons who were sent down there with him and runs off. 

- Throughout the events of borderlands 2, Tim is working as a vault hunter, but keeps his head down and out of sight from Hyperion. He doesn’t trust anyone, he doesn’t stay in one place for more than a few days. He starts going by Timothy Lawrence again. No one ever sees his face.

- After Jack’s death, Tim kept his head down for another few years before slowly starting to let himself settle down more. He stays in places for longer periods of time, but still doesn’t trust easily. He still hides his face and uses a second voice modulator inside a mask.

- When it gets to Borderlands 3, Tim is a well known vault hunter again. He takes on jobs more often, and doesn’t stay in hiding as much. He’s still careful to hide his identity outside of his name. Most refer to him as the faceless vault hunter.
