Taking a trip down memory lane. 💭Sunday’s are good for that!

Today is the last day of #SIFF - Seattle International Film Festival. Just got my tickets to watch some amazing films. It’s better late than never right? I’m happy to contribute to all the artistry, creativity, hard work and dedication put into these films!

Many years ago, I had the amazing experience of being casted for a “Rebel without a cause” for a staged reading for SIFF. It happened downstairs at cool spot called The Alibi Room in Pike Place Market. (I also did flowers for their closing night, production assistant, background actor, and ushered at the cinema). I wanted to learn as much as I could about the industry and enjoy lots of movies.

Although, I didn’t know the actors I was reading with at the time, I could tell they were polished and established. Talk about imposter syndrome! I can’t remember how I finessed my way into that opportunity. They were also kind and down-to-earth people.😊💛 @cardcarrying_thomasjane @eric.mabius Years later they have made their way to be pretty prominent actors in Hollywood. Super cool and what a thrill to see their rise!

We got the honor of meeting, Stewart Stern, the writer of “Rebel without a cause”, who lived in Seattle and attended the reading. Sweet and talented man! He gifted us all a handwritten page of his screenplay with a personal message. I’ll never forget this experience!
