DA RULES!:

-No serious hate towards directly to anything or anyone! Like I can accept comical confessions of that topic (examples: "I want Danny to kick my head like a soccer ball" or "I hate Steve's mustache, he looked so silly") but nothing serious.

-Nothing above PG-13! I mean, I can't stop people from making that type of confessions (I've seen what people say about Danny on their public profiles, yes I saw you) but please try not to be too much explicit. Anyway I will censor any word that may seem inappropriate.

-Both serious and shitpost confessions are allowed!

-No confessions that can lead to drama. In this section I mean two specific topics: RPF and Danny Elfman's allegations. Whether you are in favor of RPF or not (which stands for "Real People Fiction", so that includes all kinds of fiction that involve real people, not only shipping, but in this case I mean this) and whether you have your own thoughts about Danny's legal case I personally won't like to post them in this blog for my own comfort and probably that of others as well.

-I will post the confessions as they are written. Yeah I will not worry about fixing your spelling mistakes lol.

-Your confession will always remain anonymous, unless you write something like your username or something that can be linked to you, or if you decide to leave the anonymity through comments or in a reblog

-Please be patient with me! English is not my first language and I may make mistakes.

Since this blog won't post confessions anymore, it will now stay as an archive of what it used to be, with everyone being free to still interact with the posts. I may reply to some comments, I may not, it really depends. Also, I wanted to announce that, even if I won't do any post of my own here anymore, I will promote other people's Oingo Boingo blogs reblogging their intro post (if they have any), whether they're for confessions, incorrect quotes, projects, etc. I figured I could at least support other Oingo Boingo blogs here since this blog had some wide reach and by promoting them here they can reach more people. If you have an Oingo Boingo related blog and you want me to promote it here, just tag me and I will.

Hello, everyone. Two years ago today, on February 25, 2024, I created this blog to post confessions that Oingo Boingo fans had about the band and related topics, wanting to let the fans express themselves with anonymity so they could feel more safe speaking their minds. With 1,647 confessions posted and 447 followers that liked and reblogged, I announce that today this blog has officially come to an end.

Now, there's some reasons I make this decision. First of all, and I think the most important reason, is that I'm not very into Oingo Boingo as I was two years ago. I still like the band, and I have an AU heavily inspired on them that I plan to keep working on. I also will keep interacting with the fandom and reblogging posts related, but with way less frequency. My main blog used to be focused only on the band with some exceptions, but now I want to focus on other interests of mine, like I was doing in recent months to not say a year.

Second reason is that, besides of wanting to focus in other interests of mine, I also want to focus on my last year of high school which starts next week and also work. I know it doesn't seem like much work posting 3 confessions daily but, besides of the fact that I had to make sure the confession is appropiate enough to be posted, finding pictures related to the confessions (that I had to edit sometimes) was not always an easy job to do. It came to a point where it felt more like an obligation rather than something I did for fun, but of course I don't blame the users at all. You all just wanted to send your confessions and as the owner of this blog I had the responsability of posting them, but I can't do that anymore.

Third reason, my phone storage is fucked from all the confessions and the background pictures lol. I don't think it can handle anymore, I mean it can barely handle my other pictures so yeah, that's another reason. I know I can delete them, that's what I've been doing all this time, but still I don't want my storage to suffer anymore (at least before I have no other choice but buy more storage).

This is a decision I was thinking about months ago, and I've been delaying it until this day mainly because I was feeling sad of leaving this blog because of all the good memories I have not only in this blog but in the fandom in general, no matter the bad times I had. The blog will be still up but I won't post confessions anymore, and I kinda feel like by leaving this blog I will also leave a part of myself behind, the part of me that was young and obsessed with Oingo Boingo, who wanted to make friends and make art of the band members. But I believe that every ending has a new beginning, and I wish anyone who wants to make a new Oingo Boingo confessions blog nothing but good luck and all my good wishes for them. If you want to use the boingfessions name or something similar go right ahead! I would love if the name keeps being alive.

Anyways, with tears in my eyes but a big smile on my face (yeah, I'm that dramatic) I say goodbye to this blog, but I say see you soon to all of you, confessors, followers, people who gave likes and reblogs, and even the people just passing by the posts. Without all of you this blog wouldn't be what it is today, and I'm very grateful for every single one of you. I hope to see you all around here and other social media, keep enjoying the music and keep creating art, and don't ever let anyone stop you from enjoying what makes you happy.
