So I think Movos was one of those people who didn't think that art had to be in the service of politics, and what he and the underground entertainment crowd were looking for was artistic independence and liberation, and what he said at the ceremony was:

These are obviously gorgeous. But it makes me think…how many layers of clothing do these Romulans wear?? You see it in the shows and movies. They have wraps upon wraps upon wraps. I would need a portable air conditioner just to wear a senators outfit. Lol.
