Life Update.
Hello to those following my art account! I just wanted to give some life updates on things that have been happening to me in the background because it's important to what I've got coming up:
I recently suffered from a bedbug infestation. It was caught early and REALLY expensive to treat but thankfully was successful as far as we can tell for the time being. Unfortunately, this was almost $7k USD (thankfully covered with help from family) and I lost a *lot* of my personal items I had to throw away; It has been emotionally and physically devastating to my health in ways I cannot begin to explain, and I'm going to have to spend more for a new bed (not cheap!). My headset I use for communication, work, etc. also is breaking and I simply cannot afford to replace it either if I'm buying a new bed.
I was in the middle of renovating a room for a home office that has slowly been happening over the course of years until all of that struck. it is now temporary storage and left me unable to finish clearing my bedroom for now, causing another point of stress for me.
I just signed up to begin steps towards getting LGBT primary care for my health problems that have been progressively getting worse each year; this thankfully will be covered by my medicaid and is a good thing, but still nerve wracking.
THE BIG NEWS: I just got a consultation appointment booked to get potentially on my way to top surgery. This is something I've been needing since I was a teen as it has been a massive point of my mental health, causing distress, panic, and severe dysphoria; HOWEVER, there's no way I can afford the cost alone. It's an estimated $12k USD at the moment but it may adjust depending how the appointment goes.
Because of all this going on, I will soon be opening some form of fundraiser as much as I feel bad asking other for money. I also will be pushing for commission work more because I need money now more than I ever have. These costs are not something I can easily cover as a disabled chronically ill man with autoimmune disease putting me at risk of many things from infectious disease to things I'd rather not discuss.
I hope that when the time comes for the fundraiser I can get some interest going but this is what's been eating at me behind the scenes; in the meantime if you want to support me in small ways Please check my pinned post for commission information and my kofi page where you can donate for the time being if you'd like!
